“Seraphina, I need you to come get me.”

Naomi’s voice was trembling in a way I had never heard before. She was scared and that made me sit up immediately in bed, as my heart began to pound.

“What happened?” I asked immediately, “Where are you?”

There was noise in the background, a mixture of music and muffled shouting. I couldn’t make out what was being said, but she no doubt was in the club.

“I—I don’t want to talk about it here,” she said quickly. “Can you just come?”
