Chapter 18~ I'll work hard

Roxanne froze at those words and her face paled. "K-kids?"

She swallowed empty air and grabbed a glass before emptying its contents but she ended up choking and coughed violently.

Soon, she felt a hand on her back as Henry rubbed circles on it. She could feel the heat radiating from Henry's palm as it seeped into her body. A tingle shot down her spine, making her tremble a little.

She was too aware of his hand on her back.

"Easy there," she heard his husky voice and her heart skipped a beat.

He had leaned over while rubbing her back so she could feel his hot breath fanning her neck. Heat crept into Roxanne for some reason. She cleared her throat to compose herself so that she could respond to Larry.

Larry wanted grandkids but Roxanne knew they would not be able to fulfil his wish. They were not going to have any kids since their marriage would only be a one-year marriage contract.

Thinking of the contract, guilt crept into Roxanne when she saw Larry's excited and expectant e
