Curious

Hahahaha

He couldn't help it. He covered his mouth with his palm and giggled, attracting attention from those passing by.

He was inside the male restroom and currently staring at his own reflection. The image of how she dramatically explained how he behaves in the toilet was just hilarious.

How could a woman be so fearless and shameless? The question popped up.

It was cringy yet hilarious.

He splashes his face with water and looks down at the spot he was stained with the baby poop, which has been washed away.

Words couldn't describe his amazement right now. He shook it off as a terrible yet cute experience and got out of the restroom.

He headed towards his friend's office and soon, he came to join him.

"Bryce, I'm so sorry about what happened earlier……" Before Kyle could complete the sentence, he waved his finger to indicate that it's no big deal.

He took a good look at him. "Are you sure? She stained you with…… Gosh! That woman!" Kyle massaged his temple.

"It's alright." Bryce assured him and soon they start with their meeting.

"Your dad is still keen on making you get engaged with that Kelly?" Kyle asked.

Bryce shook his head helplessly.

"Yeah. You could read me like an open book, Kyle. I'm so damn stressed out with his continuous nagging.

I will be attending the coming banquet with her next month. They aren't even considering the girl's or my feelings before having a meeting behind our backs and then informing us of the nonsense." Bryce ranted.

His friend was the only one he could open up with about his family issues.

He is the only heir and current CEO of the mighty Desmond Enterprise, which deals in all types of business there is.

Not only oil and gas, jewelry making, banking and finance, firms, hospitals and all, they have connections outside the countries and are popularly known.

He just recently took over and they've started planning his life for him. A family friend's daughter and he, were being forced to make a reunion.

Like seriously, he just wonders why the rich must marry the rich.

That was what they kept telling him.

She's well mannered and rich. A heiress and all, but on a bright side, he wasn't even seeing any benefit in the marriage, gain-wise.

They have rivals, but not strong enough to affect what they had.

He had his own business which he had established with his own money and it's very precious to him, yet he had to leave it in his friend's care and face the burden of thousands of workers relying on the performance of his management.

This mall means a lot, because it's the only business that doesn't include his family money. The only place to run to, if something came up and he had to leave his family's wealth behind.

He cherished it and never failed to come and see how it's going once in a while.

Seeing the blooming of it alone, brings unexplainable joy.

"The girl is pretty though. I saw her in the newspaper, officially opening their new branch. Seems like the hardworking type, and are you sure she's not interested in you?" Kyle asked, wondering if it was only Bryce feeling forced here.

"Hmm…. I'm not sure and I don't think I care about that. I don't have any plans for marriage now. Not even dating." Bryce replied.

"They will disturb you a lot. I hope you're ready for this." Kyle teased, even though he knew Bryce's temperament.

If he's keen, then no one is going to make him do something that he does not wish to.

Their conversation went on. They discussed the progress of the mall, the growth and things that needed his consent before being implemented.

After their meeting, Bryce bid farewell to his friend after they agreed to meet up later and left.

While leaving, he couldn't help looking around to locate the possessive mother fighting over poop.

Fair enough, he saw her.

A cute baby boy was strapped to her body with a carrier and she was busy attending to customers, looking serious, but never failing to smile so sweetly when she looked down at the baby.

He was mesmerized by the warmth radiating from that smile. It was too shiny for one to look at and not bow to the sincerity in it.

A true love of a mother to her son.

He was playing both roles diligently. The way she handled customers was so sharp and polite. You won't even find any excuse and the baby wasn't the crying type, which helped a lot.

He had no idea how long he had been staring, but their eyes met.

He didn't look away and she didn't either.

He could see the flicker of emotions in her eyes the second they locked eye contact, but it vanished as it came.

More like feeling shocked and then resolving that this person isn't worth stressing on.

She returned to what she was doing, but he was curious to see what the boy looked like, so he walked to one of the shelves to purchase something and approached as a customer.
