Chapter 17 : The argument

I hope it's a prank. Though I don't like pranks, I badly want it to be a prank.

"I hope you know what you're saying", I try not to sound harsh.

"Yes, I know", her rose petal lips shiver. I don't know if I should get pissed at her words or stare at her. However, right now her words are pissing me off.

"You want to go back to Texas?" I ask again.

"Yes", she doesn't look at me.

"Do you think that's possible? And just leave it. Tell me what made you take such a decision", I groan.

Even though I don't like discussing personal stuff in the office, I can't help arguing over it right here.

"It's my decision. I don't think I need to give you any explanation", she says.

I slam the files, making a huge sound that quivers. She finally looks at me with two fearful eyes as I clench my jaw and storm towards her.
