Monica was embarrassed at Gertrude's direct question but she was still honest. The only person who could understand her situation and give her candid advice was Gertrude. "I think so," her voice was almost a whisper.
Gertrude felt Genuine pity for her bestie. She had wished that Sly would be the love-stricken one. Never had she expected Monica to be the one, even though she knew Monica was vulnerable. Right now, she could only wish that Sly loved her the same. She won't be able to take it if Monica got hurt in this game of love.
