ALICE'S POV

A week passed. A week of feeling the same coldness creeping inside my hollow heart.

That day at the funeral when I told Mom about how I was Damien's Mistress, she did not say anything. It was shocking.

She just turned on her silent mode. It really turned off my mood though. She was supposed to scream and cause a scene and I was supposed to tell her about Jonas Lincoln, but she never did that. She kept watching me with those tears-filled hurt eyes, just like Ace did.

Strange. They behaved really strange.
