Amara Nicholas.

I did not anticipate Darlington and his mother to yell at me. I had just stepped outside the bedroom to have my supper downstairs with them because I was hungry, so it was only natural that I would come out of the bedroom to ask them about my dinner.

Mrs. Ifeoma loathed me from the moment she saw me. She refused to accept my present and demanded that I leave her mansion. I am not a village lady, and the way she treated me with insults made me unhappy.

I wondered if I had met her before, and I decided to ask my mother about Mrs. Ifeoma Briggs. I headed downstairs to the dining room. The mansion was large, similar to my father's. It was almost identical to my father's new mansion, which I had abandoned in the rural area where I had grown up.
