As I woke up, my eyes tried adjusting to the darkness around me. I couldn't see anything but I could tell that I was the only one in this room. I tried to move my arms but I couldn't. My heart started racing as I tried unsuccessfully to move my arms but all tried failed. I leaned back against the wall and cried.

Three weeks had passed since I was kidnapped. As I started walking over to Alyssa, I could see her eyes following my every movement. Not looking away. She was scared, I admit that. But I could sense that she was ready for whatever I was ready to bring. When I finally got up to her, I slowly put my hand onto her face and she jumped before relaxing into my grip.
