Dinner preparation

After Noah got home, he checked up on Emma before heading to his room. He slammed into the bed and replayed all he heard those he met at company, say to his hearing.

“I made a terrible mistake. I shouldn’t have gone to him at all. What was I thinking? I should have at least dressed like a decent man, not wearing cargo pants and a tank top!”

He grabbed his head as he spoke out of great regret for his actions. “F**k me!” He yelled and hit the bed with his fist.

His phone vibrated in his pocket, and he took a pause on venting his anger. He pulled out his phone and checked why his phone wouldn’t stop vibrating.

He turned it on and saw about five messages from Jeremy.

“What was that about?” “Noah, why aren’t you texting me back?” “Why did you have to lie?” “Why did you run off that way?” “I wanted to thank you, but you didn’t even give me the chance.”

Noah heaved a sigh and began to text back.

“I’m sorry, Jeremy. I shouldn’t have come in the first place.”
