“So you have never been married?” Natasha started off a conversation after the awkward moment they had.

“I have. Once… but, it failed. I married her because I felt I couldn’t keep dreaming of a lady that barely knows me. I was growing older, and I thought it was best for me to start a family…”

“Then what happened?” Her curiosity was ignited.

“We didn’t love each other as much as we thought. We thought we understood each other, but clearly we didn’t. We had to part ways after a year and a few months.”

“Wow. I’m so sorry, Steve.” Natasha remorsefully answered.

“Sorry? You don’t have to be sorry. I’m happy that actually happened. If I was still lying to myself and still married to her, maybe we wouldn’t have met. I wouldn’t be able to hit on you like I’m doing right now. Even though you’re a married woman…” he scoffed and stood up from the chair with the coffee in his hand.
