The young mistress of the Shaun family sat beside the window that was close to the entrance of the house looking directly out of the house

The look on her face reminded everyone of the predicament that she was in and the maids and guards didn’t hesitate to give her a pathetic look, they felt really sorry for her .

This wasn’t the first time or the last time the master would do this to her , it had been going on for ages and it wasn’t going to stop anytime soon .

Young mistress , you have to stop waiting for him, you know he's definitely not going to come, how about you just go get some rest, it’s already getting late “ A young girl with blonde hair who stood beside her said, giving her that pathetic look.

Scarlet raised up her head and the first thing her head fell to was the clock by the wall.

The pains she felt seeing it was already 11pm was something that she wouldn’t forget.

She had been sitting in this position for hours and waiting for her husband to return just as they had both promised each other to be together today, but he still didn’t show up.

For a while Scarlet wondered why her husband had to treat her this way, but yet he claimed to love her so much.

The next day , Saturday, was their marriage anniversary, and not just like every other day, it was their 10th marriage anniversary and she wanted this day to be special for them but her husband had failed to show up just like he had started five years ago .

She felt hurt that he had to treat her this way when he knew that all she ever wanted was to spend this day with him , she had spent almost her whole life with him scarifying all that she had for his sake but yet he couldn’t just take a time off his busy schedule to come spend this day with her .

10 years ago scarlet forgot about all that she had and decided to dedicate her life to the man that she loved , when he met the young master, he was Nothing but a puppet who was just struggling to meet end needs but when she met her she loved him with everything and even when her family never agreed to the union because of how wretched and poor he was, she didn’t hesitate to turn her back on her family and follow him, though she never made it clear to him about her family wealth.

The shuan being one of the most popular families hit the rock bottom when tragedy struck ahd the master shaun died in a plane crash along with his parents , leaving Harvey with his mom .

The shuan family's money was taken from them by relatives and left Harvey with little or nothing even though he was the new young master of theShuan family.

Their 10 years of being married had been the best and Harvey had done Nothing but to make sure that he made her happy , she knew how much she had sacrificed for him to be here today.

Many years of struggle paid off because after 2 years of being married to him , their hard work-finally paid off because his business suddenly hit the market and within just a year of adding more things to it , he suddenly became the number one bestseller in the whole world, his products were highly needed in Europe, As,ia and even the African continent making him one of the richest men on earth, he was on number 10 in the list of the world richest people, that was how influential and popular he became.

After Harvey got that whole wealth he didn’t change but instead he asked her to be a full time house wife and made sure that he cared for her and made her happy by meeting all of her demands but five years ago , he suddenly changed and started coming home late , he made excuses for not spending time with her and most importantly he made sure he forgot all of her birthdays, and even their wedding anniversary, and even though it was tomorrow, she didn’t want him to miss it for anything in this world, she had so many plans put in place for that .

Scarlet grabbed her phone that she was just beside her and clicked on their messages and scrolling through it all that she could see were his apologies messages , he had sent her countless of them for anything that he did and never for once tried to change his ways even though he had promised to change , he kept on saying that , but then he never changed , he only changed with his mouth .

Scarlet looked at the last message that she had sent to her husband , she knew this was the right message to get him back , she wasn’t going to take such a crazy attitude from him , if he dared to miss their anniversary tomorrow then she was never going to forgive him for anything in this world.

“Young mistress, you look tired, how about you go rest, am pretty sure that the young master will come home sooner or later, maybe he just wants to surprise you for the big day because he knows how much that day means to you both, so how about you go get some rest before your husband comes back, am pretty sure that he wouldn’t disappoint this time around.

Scarlet looked at the blonde girl who was Kira , she had hired her when he came to apply, though she wouldn't deny the fact that she was good-looking, there was just something about her that she couldn’t place her hands on , from her looks to the way she spoke and even the way the she did her job diligently was the one thing that made her love her the more and the both of them had become surprisingly close to each other.

Scarlet stood up and looked at her and for a moment she noticed that one of the head maids had never been here all this while .

“ Where's Telma ?” She asked looking at Kira who looked surprised the moment she had asked that question.

“ I thought she told you she was going on a vacation with her boyfriend “

Scarlett looked at Kira shocked , for the records , there was no day that thelma had told her she was going out and yet she left her job and went with that silly boyfriend of hers without letting her know.

“ where did she leave her kids “

“ young mistress, she took them along with her “ Kira replied and she just nodded her head .

She didn’t know why she got an odd feeling about this , but she just decided to let it go, all that she wanted was just for her husband to return and then make their anniversary a memory to her , she just couldn’t wait .
