                                                               ✿ CHAPTER 12 ✿

LEONARD'S POV

"Bro…I've been on my knees for hours," My close friend Daniel begged me to accompany him to the shopping mall to buy a present for his wife.

"You call barely 20 minutes, hours?" I rubbed my temples

"Bro, it's just a present for my wife, I just need someone to go with me, I won't take too much of your time, okay?"

I sighed.

"Fine, I might even take the opportunity to inspect the mall"

"Wait, we're going to your mall?"

"Yes, aren't we?" I raised an eyebrow as I stood up from my seat.

"Yes, yes we are" he laughed

"That reminds me…you just left me at the club last night…why did you do that?" he frowned at me but I just brushed it off with a smile as I playfully patted his head.

"You're not telling me something, are you?"

"I just got a little tired, so I decided to leave," we both walked out of the elevator.

"Without telling me? That's weird, we both came together, shouldn't we leave together-"

"BOSS! BOSS!" a voice called behind us…I sighed when I heard this voice.

"Damn it" I cursed under my breath.

"Boss!, where are you going?" Theo, My assistant asked panting heavily as he approached us.

"Were you, running?" Daniel asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, I was running to meet up with the boss." he panted softly.

"Please sir, I need to know your whereabouts"

"Theo" I sighed.

"As you can see…I'm going out with Daniel so don't have to look for me" I said as I turned around ready to leave with Daniel, before

"Where exactly are you going sir? I need to know" he said, standing in front of me, blocking my path.

"Can you stop with this silly attitude of yours, what is your business with where I go?" my brows creased

"I, I just need to know sir…you weren't at work for almost a day…I was worried something happened to you… it's my vow to protect you sir" he stood upright as he puffed out his chest.

"Pfft…" Daniel laughed

"It's not funny!...and you, Theo, get out of my way…or else you want to lose your job as My assistant!" I shot him a hard glare .

He immediately retreated to the side .

"I'm sorry sir" he gave a little bow. I didn't respond as I walked away with Daniel.

"That was hilarious!"

"Shut up"

30 MINUTES LATER

"Honestly, I can't remember the last time I came here but, damn, you did a great work with this mall" Daniel gushed as we stepped into CITY MALL ELEVEN, that was the name of the mall.

"It took 6 months to reconstruct the mall to what it is today" I smiled.

"Hey hey, we all know that okay" he rolled his eyes.

"So what are we getting for your wife?" I looked around the mall as I asked.

"What do you think women love the most?" Daniel asked smiling at me.

My smile faded as I slowly turned to look at him, we both stared at each other for a very long time.

Is he mad or something to ask me that stupid question?

"Ahh!! I'm sorry bro!, I totally forgot, you know nothing about women" he laughed Awkwardly

"You don't even have a wife or even a girlfriend. you haven't even been in a relationship before"

"Honestly I feel bad for you bro" he laughed.

"I mean, you're 37 years old , still no-"

"One more word, and I'll detach your tongue from your mouth" I said coldly.

"Chill bro, I mean you're already chilly but, calms. I was just joking around" he rubbed his arms as if feeling cold all of a sudden.

"So this brings us back to my first question"

"Right right, about the present for my wife…let's go to the clothing session, My wife loves scarfs" We both headed to the clothing session.

"Good day sir's, you're welcome to our store, what may I get you?" the receptionist greeted.

"I'd love to get a scarf, for My wife" Daniel smiled warmly.

"That's lovely, please come this way" The receptionist guided us to the scarf section, where we could choose different variety of scarves.

While Daniel and the receptionist were looking for a scarf, I also walked around looking for a scarf for myself.

I saw a red colored scarf displayed on a mannequin…I like it because it suits my taste.

I walked over to the mannequin but before I could touch the scarf a little hand grabbed it.

I was confused

"Excuse me-" I was shocked by what I saw…who the hell walks around a mall dressed like this?.

It was a girl wearing a full leather suit. why was this person dressed like a biker? With a helmet covering her face, inside the mall?.

N\B: Leathers are one-piece suits or two-piece jackets and trousers worn by motorcyclists.
