Smart Plan - ep11

                                                             ✿ CHAPTER 11 ✿

"I want you to speak sense into your daughter!!" My Mom said indignantly as she walked out of the room.

My dad stood looking at me before signaling Uncle Charles to leave us both alone.

"So you didn't sleep at home last night?" My Dad said calmly as he looked at me.

I nodded "Something came up so I had to spend the night at a friend's house"

"A friend huh…I called your best friend but she said she didn't know where you were…I also called Caesar but he said the same thing"

"They aren't the only friends I have…and by the way I- I and Caesar…we broke up already, so don't contact him in the future" I avoided his gaze…I guessed he already knew the reason we broke up.

"I want you to be careful Amelia…or else I won't bat an eye when I decide to lock you up at home"

"And no speaking to your Mother that way…she's your mother and you should give her that respect she deserves" I just rolled my eyes when I heard this.

"Are you listening to me young lady?"

"Yes Father" I whispered

With that, he walked out of my room slamming the door behind him. I just sighed as I slumped back on the bed, covering my ears with my headphones again.

"Stupid" I cursed under my breath.

IN MY PARENT'S ROOM

"I am sick and tired of her attitude. Who does she think she is?" My Mom paced around the room as my Father took off his suit.

"You needed to see the way she talked back at me…the anger in her eyes…her words, she-Ughhhh, the audacity" She smashed the lamp light on the floor as her chest heaved up and down in anger.

My dad took a deep breath as he walked towards her and gently pulled her down to sit at the edge of the bed.

"Say something Magnus!...you heard everything back in the room didn’t you?" She looked up at him

My dad didn't say anything as he walked over to the side of the bed and took the medications and a glass of water from the side table.

"I don't want this stupid medication!" My Mom was pissed as she pushed his hand away.

"You don’t want your blood pressure to go up again, don't you?" My Dad squatted down to her level as he held the medication and the glass of water in his hand.

My mom avoided his gaze.

"You have to calm down now okay? Come on, take your medication" he urged her…after a few moments, she snatched the medication from his hand as she swallowed it all in one gulp.

"You didn't drink the water"

" Since when do I take my medications with water?" she rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I thought you also needed the water to calm down…here, have it" My Dad offered her the water again. She reluctantly drank the water before dropping down the glass.

"What do you have to say about your daughter's attitude just now?"

"I've spoken to her already darling…she'll be fine…she just needs time…we haven't been good parents to her anyways" My dad held her hands.

"I-I know…I was never kind to her since she was a child , but sometimes I just-"

"Shh, its fine, she'll be fine" he gave her a reassuring smile.

"Just promise me we'll treat her well from now on, okay?"

BACK IN MY ROOM

"But I don't want to go anywhere…I'm not in the mood right now" I kicked my Feet in the air as my cousin, Sofiya ,begged me to accompany her to a shopping mall over the phone.

"Like it or not Amelia…you're coming with me…I didn’t even get the chance to wish you a happy birthday yesterday…come on!" she said sternly over the phone.

"But…I'm sick…I feel so weak and-" I faked a cough.

"I'm giving you 20 minutes to be ready…I'll come pick you up" she said, disconnecting the call.

"Ughhhh, " I sighed, she couldn't even fall for my little trick…I really didn't want to go, I was afraid I might bump into Leonard at any time or any place.

"What are you afraid of…maybe he doesn't even live in this city…he looks like a prominent figure"

"Wait, a prominent figure? Does that mean he's a famous person? Or Perhaps a businessman?" I talked to myself as I searched my closet for a simple dress.

*DISGUISE*  this word echoed in my mind…is GOD giving me an idea to disguise myself?

I have to disguise myself…who knows what might happen, I might even bump into him and he won't know it's me.

"Smart plan" I smirked at the BRILLIANT idea.
