His eyes glimmered with despair from the past, "I know I am not a good brother. Not a good human being at all. But I swear to protect you, Kat. I'll do it as your elder brother."

I didn't buy his words. My brother was not a saint. He was a criminal too, who did nothing better than what Babbiani was doing. Beverly and her endless tears made it hard to believe him.

"You won't have to go to Babbiani as the payment. I promise that to you." He said with finality before leaving me staring at the starless sky.
