“What the hell is wrong with you ungrateful bitch  why so late, you really have the guts to embarrass me in front of them, I told you to be on your best behaviour didn’t I, you must have lots of fun embarrassing me in front of them.

“ Don’t talk back you pathetic piece of shit” Go to your room, don’t ever come down for dinner, don’t show your face unless say so “ Her father shouted at her.

“s-sorry father,” she said before she runs toward her room. Closing the door, she cried. “what d-did I ever do you them, it’s not my fault to be born here “ she whispers and cried herself to sleep with an empty stomach.

Next Morning

Anne was about to go to her office but stopped by her father’s word.

“Stop right there, don’t go to work today” he spoke calmly

Anne confused looked at her father.

“don’t flatter yourself, you are going out with your future husband, as their parents wanted both of you to talk first before marriage, I don’t know why a pathetic girl like you have a say in this marriage, I tried to explain to them that you are ready but they wanted your concern anyway, but remember if you say no or any of your action leads to break off this marriage then you done for good then mark my words. “

Her father threatens her, she just nodded, she was feeling little better about her in law as they were really thought full , but she don’t want any unwanted hope to enlighten in her heart just yet.

“yes, father “ she spoke calmly.

“And get dressed nicely he will anytime soon be here” her father spoke. She nodded and walked back to her room.

Anne has forced smile on her face when Rean walked her toward a table in this famous restaurant. she was nervous and needs some fresh air to talk.

“Ahh, how many years been working as CEO” He started a conversation to erase the awkward air around them. “two years” she replied.

And there was silence again. Anne took a deep breath and said what she wanted to tell him before dinner.

“I need to tell you something “ she spoke, she knows if her father knew about this there will be a storm. But she needed to tell him that. She couldn’t destroy someone else’s life by her already destroyed one. “Please don’t tell me you already had a lover “ He joked trying to ease anna, as he could say she was nervous.

“No, it’s not like that actually “ anna don’t know where to start because of her nervousness.

“I wanted to tell you that my family is not what you think is very good and loving its total opposite and I don’t want you to have a relation with a family like mine  . she said honestly, she doesn’t want to his anything form him.

"Are you saying all this because you don't want to marry me " he spoke with an amused expression.

Anna panicked "no-i-it's not like t-that"

"oh so you want to marry me " he spoke with a smirk

Anna was on the verge of crying,  Rean noticed it and stopped her joke immediately.

"Hey it's ok I was kidding  no need to cry, I already know everything about your family.”

Anne eye widen she looked at him shocked “you know ?”

“well miss Anna, sorry to tell you this but I did a background check on your family. I don’t want to marry just anybody I have a reputation to maintain, I personally have no problem marrying you, but  When my family brought this topic, I agree cause they were really happy and excited about my marriage. but after a background check on your family, I didn’t want anymore to continue with the idea, But then I got to know about you, 

I am marrying you, not your family, it’s a business marriage for your father, your father gain everything in this marriage not me, but I am also not losing anything in this.

  I am getting a hardworking, innocent, beautiful girl as my wife, that’s enough for me.  The most important is that your opinion also matters in this. 

I have everything I wanted but I just want a life partner who is loyal to me, be mine forever.

“so miss Anna will you able to do that be the only mine,” He asked her  looking at Anne who look down on her feet “i-I don’t know “

She giggles after accepting his every word as he gives her a warm hug both lost in each other. Anna was talking to him and he was staring at her.

“so what do you say Rean, did she pass or not, “ Mr Edward asked his son while driving, looking at the rear-view mirror, with a teasing smile because he already knows the answer just waited to hear from his son.

“I will call her father tomorrow to give the good news,” He said to his son with a big smile.
