Jason

The phone wouldn't stop ringing.

I peeled my eyes open, my skull split like someone had taken an axe to it. The study came into focus in blurry fragments, the empty whiskey bottle still clutched in my hand, my shirt wrinkled and reeking of alcohol. I reached for my phone, squinting at the screen. Mum.

After Chloe left, I fell asleep on the desk of my study sipping a glass of Whiskey.

"Hello?" My voice came out hoarse.

"Jason, where the hell are you?"

I sat up slowly, as the room spun . "I

ChloeI woke up to sunlight streaming through the bedroom curtains and the satisfying knowledge that everything was finally falling into place. I made my way downstairs to the dining room where breakfast was already laid out on the table.“You are dressed so nicely today, unlike yourself last month,” I told Jason.“Oh please, Chloe, you suck at compliments. All you could say is, ‘You look good, love. You look good, husband.’ Gosh,” he replied.“Compliments? Who’s complimenting you? Last I checked, we were in a loveless marriage, Jason. We…”I was reaching for the coffee pot when my phone rang."Who could be bothering me this early?" I muttered, glancing at the screen.Diana's name flashed across it and I smiled immediately. I answered the call."Good morning," I greeted."Chloe," Diana stated without preamble. "Dorian is dead."My hand froze halfway to my cup."Dorian is dead?" I repeated slowly.Jason looked up sharply from where he had been scrolling through his phone at the other e

DanikaEverything was in place. The clock on the hospital wall read 11:47 PM. Dr. Morrison's solo night shift had officially begun and the corridors were quiet except for the occasional beep of monitors and the soft footsteps of the skeleton crew on duty.I stood in the shadows near the service elevator, my heart raced as I watched Dr. Morrison approach Dorian's room with two trusted nurses flanking him. This was it. No turning back now.Dr. Morrison entered the room first and I waited exactly three minutes before following. Inside, the nurses worked with practiced efficiency, disconnecting Dorian from the monitors carefully and transferring him to another Stretcher with moveable support while maintaining the appearance that everything was normal."Ambulance is in position at the back entrance," one nurse whispered."Good," Dr. Morrison replied quietly. "Let's move quickly."They transferred Dorian onto a gurney, his body remained still and pale under the thin hospital blanket. My che

MitchelleThe private hospital in Geneva was exactly what I needed. Modern, discreet, with a reputation for treating high-profile patients who valued their privacy above all else.I walked through the pristine corridors toward the administrative office, my hand rested instinctively on my small but growing belly. At nearly three months pregnant, I was just starting to show, though my loose clothing still hid it well enough. The receptionist looked up with a professional smile as I approached."Good morning, how may I help you?""I'm here to arrange a medical transfer," I explained. "A patient in critical condition will be arriving from the London, and I need to ensure everything is prepared for his care.""Of course," she replied, typing something into her computer. "Let me get Dr. Castellano for you. Please have a seat, it will just be a moment."I settled into one of the comfortable waiting room chairs and tried to calm my racing thoughts. Everything had to go perfectly. Dorian's lif

JasonVincent pulled up to a modest apartment building on the east side of town, far from the luxury I was used to. He killed the engine and turned to look at me."You sure about this?" he asked."Absolutely," I replied, already opening the door.We walked up three flights of stairs to apartment 2C. Vincent knocked and within seconds, the door opened.Melyn stood there in casual clothes, jeans and a fitted sweater, looking nothing like the woman I had met at the club. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail and her face was bare of the heavy makeup she had worn that night. But the resemblance was still there. In fact she looked more like Chelley. The same shape of her face, the same curve of her lips, the same eyes that reminded me so painfully of Mitchelle."Mr. Vincent," she greeted, then her gaze shifted to me. Recognition flickered across her face. "Mr. Hunt.""May we come in?" Vincent asked."Of course, sir," Melyn replied, stepping aside. The apartment was small but clean.

DanikaI stepped out of Dr. Morrison's office with my mind racing through logistics. Seventy-two hours to pull off the impossible. I needed a realistic mannequin that could pass as Dorian's corpse, at least long enough for the death to be pronounced and the body "prepared for burial."I pulled out my phone and searched for high-end mannequin companies in the city. Most specialized in retail displays, but one listing caught my attention: "LifeLike Figures - Custom Realistic Mannequins for Medical Training and Film."Perfect.I called immediately."LifeLike Figures, this is Andrew speaking," a professional voice answered."I need to speak to the manager," I stated urgently. "It's extremely time-sensitive.""That's me. How can I help you?""I need a custom mannequin," I explained, choosing my words carefully. "An exact replica of a specific person. How fast can you create it?"There was a pause."That depends on the level of detail required," Andrew replied. "For a basic figure, maybe a

DanikaDetective Charles spread the documents across my dining table, each page represented another piece of evidence against Ivy’s son and the conspiracy surrounding Dorian's supposed marriage."The boy's parents are in debt," Detective Charles confirmed, tapping a photograph of Kingsley Adams. "I guess that's why he took the illegal job.""We need DNA proof though," I stated, leaning forward. "Something concrete that will hold up in court.""Any ideas on how to get a sample?" he asked.I thought for a moment."I'll tell the butler to help us," I decided. "Maybe he can get Dariel's comb, or even a strand of hair in it would be useful. Something the kid has touched that we can test."Detective Charles nodded approvingly."That could work. The butler has access to the estate and wouldn't raise suspicion.""I want to head to the hospital now," I announced, gathering my files. "I need to speak with Dr. Morrison about helping us with the DNA.""That's wise," Detective Charles agreed. I e
