If you were wondering what the song was, it's 'You and I.' || So... any guess who helped Klaus set everything up? xx 6.14.22
~Rylee~“Fucking hell, Pascalina….” Klaus groaned as we stepped out of the dugout.Cali, Evan, Ren, and Devin loitered in the now properly lit hallway. The Reed sisters had red-rimmed eyes, evidence that it wasn’t only me who appreciated every sweet and romantic detail of Klaus’ proposal.Cali ignored Klaus’ protest of disapproval, approached me, and threw her arms around my neck. Mindful of her big baby bump, I curled my arms around her, returning her embrace.“I’m so happy for you,” she murmured, sniffing. This is real, I thought, as Ren also pulled me in for an embrace. “Congratulations, Rylee,” she mumbled as we pulled apart. They marveled at how pretty my engagement rings were. Memories of receiving them carved a special place in my heart and mind.“It’s so beautiful,” Cali cooed. Her sister nodded in agreement. “It is. And it’s adorable that he gave you his mom’s ring as well.” She threw a teasing gaze at Klaus. “You are pretty romantic when you want to be, Klaus.”My fiancé - o
~Rylee~ Worry for Cali and their baby’s safety instantly replaced the joyful air between the five of us. The sun had already risen an hour ago. Seated on the couch, Ren rested her temple on Devin’s shoulder, already fast asleep. Facing them, I occupied the single couch, ankles tucked under my bum, while Klaus sat on the rug, his long legs extended in a V. His back was against my seat while I toyed with his dark curls. Evan was looking out the window of the room reserved for VIPs. It’s not the typical off-white room reeking of alcohol and disinfectant I usually see in hospitals. Paintings of different sizes cover the walls. The arts look random—still images, landscapes, cartoon characters. Looking closer, I saw Cali and Evan’s initials scribbled on them. Cali hates hospitals. It wouldn’t surprise me if this were her idea. Everyone looks exhausted. They were busy all day preparing for Klaus, and I’s engagement, and hadn’t had a wink of sleep. Ren stirs awake every five minutes, askin
~Rylee~ Quinn Elise Carter felt so light in my arms. Her eyes were as brilliant as her mother’s jade irises, drooping. Pink lips pouted, forming the shape of an O as she let out a soft cooing sound. Her small hands clutched my finger in a gentle grip. It was light, but the pinch she had on my heart was stronger than a grown man’s grasp. . Klaus and I were both in deep thoughts as the drive back to the penthouse took place. I can’t get the image of Klaus holding Quinn out of my head. I have no idea what’s going on in Klaus’ head. It could be the exhaustion of being awake all night. Or it could be something else, but I am not worried anymore. Rain is right. Klaus and I have open communication that other relationships lack, and I must trust his words. Inside the penthouse, I debated whether I should head to Klaus’ room or mine. Yesterday’s intent on sleeping in my room became debatable now that I have another ring on my left hand. “Are you hungry?” Klaus asked, tossing his keys on t
~Rylee~ I blinked once... twice, pausing for a punchline, but it never came. In fact, his green eyes reflect eagerness and patience, waiting for my response. “Uhm... does this have to do anything with the mafia?” I asked, silently giving myself a pat on the back for not stuttering, when inside, I was running around like crazy, not knowing what to do. Bound by a contract or not, a wedding will happen eventually, but he is freaking asking me to marry him now. We just got engaged last night. Klaus chewed on his lower lip. The same one I’ve been biting and munching on last night while he fucks my brains out. God. This man is really turning my world into a havoc of surprises. “No... no. Like I said, what we have has nothing to do with the mafia anymore.” He pinched his eyes closed, contemplating. Those green pools met my bewildered brown ones with determination. He reached for my hand, which dropped with a thump on my lap. “I’ve never been more sure in my life, Rose. Yesterday, when I
~Rylee~ Huntersville, particularly Klaus’ plantation in summer, is a slice of paradise on earth. Everywhere I glanced as the drive to the villa took place, there was endless green lush scenery. This is heaven for someone who grew up in the mountain town of Big Timber, Montana, and was brought up by a father who was mad crazy about wilderness adventures. I had a hard time adjusting to the city’s busy life, and even now, I still crave being close to nature. Klaus made a complete stop in the middle of the dirt road. I glanced at the driver’s side. Klaus was already sliding out, quickly rounding the hood and opening the door for me. “I want to show you something,” he says, offering a hand. I took it, suppressing the girlish squeal at the chivalrous act. It wasn’t the first time he had done this and won’t be the last either, but I like that he’s being such a gentleman towards me when we’re outside the bedroom and fucks me roughly when we’re inside. Slowly yet surely, Klaus is changing
~Rylee~ “Morocco?” I parroted, confident that I must be mishearing things. “Yes,” was Klaus’ firm response. “Ghost and Rain are there,” I stated. “We should call them. They can help us since they’re already there.” Klaus laughed at my suggestion, as if it was the dumbest idea he had ever heard. I was hopeful that I misinterpreted this situation wrong. It can’t be possible, is it? But then Klaus’ following statement gave shape to my fear. “Why the fuck would I warn the traitor that I am coming for him?” No amount of training or experience could prepare anyone for this kind of situation. As we entered the freeway, Klaus’ grip on the steering wheel tightened, and his knuckles drained of color. Breaking the speed limit was nothing new to Klaus, but the person behind the wheel glared at the road as if it were a one-way highway to hell. “Klaus…” I mumbled, mindful of my tone. He’s like a ticking bomb. One poke and he’d explode. “Are you sure? This is Ghost, your right hand man.” “All
~Rylee~ A rusty, tattered knife could slice through the tension inside the plane as we crossed the North Atlantic Ocean. There were stolen glances here and there, but no one dared say a word. Seated across from me on the pristine white seat of his private plane, Klaus gapes at the slowly fading darkness of the night, giving way to a new day. Ash and Hunter were facing each other, wearing solemn, worried guises. Kai was fast asleep in the cabin. He finished an entire bottle of vodka just in time for the attendant to finish administering first aid to his broken nose. I was itching to ask Ash what evidence they have against Ghost, still convinced that this was just a big misunderstanding. I would bet my life on it; Ghost would never betray Klaus like this. Arriving at the airport, two SUVs were waiting for us. I silently followed Klaus into the first SUV while Hunter, Ash, and Kai followed behind us. Morocco was beautiful. I’ve been here for a job once, but the drumming inside my che
~Rylee~ Night blanketed the city of Agadir, casting darkness on the beach. The indistinct echo of the upbeat music drumming two hundred meters away from the villa hasn’t lulled a bit. It was nearing midnight, yet the nightlife in this city was just beginning. It would’ve been a dream to see this city for a vacation. Stroll down this stretch of sand hand in hand with Klaus. Crash into that party, dance with him like there was no tomorrow… tease him and end our night with wild, untamable passion. But that is just it—a dream. Klaus stormed inside the villa right after everyone left, locked himself in what I would assume was his room, and never stepped out since. It was too quiet; I worried he might have done something to himself. He’s strong; I reminded myself when I was tempted to knock down his door. Rain: Ghost is as good as he can be, given the situation. We will leave for Malapascua in the morning. I read Rain’s reply to my question about Ghost status. Rylee: At Blade’s place?
