"Have you lost your mind, Maximus?! What do you mean you shot him? Please don’t tell me he’s dead! And don’t tell me you dragged me here to help you get rid of a body!"

Mason’s voice rises, panic seeping into every word. He yanks off his suit jacket, tosses it onto a chair, and loosens his tie before pacing back and forth like a madman.

"And why didn’t you stop him, Raymond?" He halts suddenly, spinning toward Ray with a furious glare. "Instead, you’re standing there like a proud accomplice! What were you two even thinking? This isn’t you, Maximus. You don’t even own a gun! Who the hell gave you one in the first place?"

I grumble under my breath, annoyed at his dramatics. “Relax, Mason. Stop panicking.”
