Dante's POV

I watched how her eyes dimmed and then turned watery. What was this?

"You guys can take her now," I said coldly as I leaned back on the chair. She quickly held my leg like she never wanted to let go of me.

Of course, I shoved her hands away before she could do anything.

"Take her away," I said to the men who just entered the room. They nodded, picked and then turned to leave.

"Put her in a place different from where those slaves are," I said calmly, still sipping my drink.

They nodded and then left, while she kept on banging their chest to let her go. I tried with all my might not to look at those teary eyes.

"Oh? You have gotten another one?" I heard Danciana's voice coming from the door and I didn't bother looking at her.

"Yes," I replied, coldly.

"I see. But mmm… well," She started sluggishly and I knew she was here for something.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Oh? Nothing, nothing, much. I wanted to know if it was good of me to do some experiments? I have done a few researches and I am in need of just the last thing to complete it," She said, smiling.

Danciana was my Pack's doctor and she was responsible for all the treatments and healings. I stared at her for a moment, thinking of the right person for her to check this one.

There was no one in the pack that's Ill. Unless, I turned to her then stared at the door.

"I'll inform you when I've seen anyone," I stated, calmly. She nodded as a bright smile crossed her face.

"I was expecting that. Thank you so much Alpha Dante," She smiled, bowing from where she stood at the door then left. I stared at the closed door with a dull gaze, turned to the glass of wine before me as I sip it slowly.

No one can ever get close to me, because of my Alpha's aura. But the lady can without any restriction. I wonder why such is happening?

I didn't think much about it. After drinking the wine, I got up and left the room quietly.

Soon I was in the cold and quiet corridor as I made my way to my chamber. Before that, I stopped and stared at the dead end of the corridor, a thought crossed my mind and I walked towards it without hesitation.

And that was when I saw the masked men standing guard at a particular room.

I walked up to them, quietly, then said:"You may leave,"

They nodded quickly and hurriedly left the place but they didn't dare pass by me but could only follow the other side.

I was indifferent when I saw this. I turned to the door, knocked on it slightly and then kept quiet.

I could feel that mate pull again and her rich scent that smells like roses. I leaned into the door as I couldn't get enough of her even though I knew it would be very impossible for me to have a weak mate.

Mostly when she's a mute.

"Mm?" I heard her calls out excitedly, she must have felt the mate pull again. I slowly opened the door and there she was on the floor. I stared at her for a moment and that was when I noticed the tears in her eyes.

I was moved to touch her but… there was this part of me that stopped that thought.

"How will it feel when you are given the entitlement to be my Luna?" I asked her calmly and she stared at me with some expression I couldn't understand.

But deep down I knew she was saying that it would be good.

"What if you were rejected by my people because you are mute?" I asked her calmly, and I watched her eyes dim.

I stared at her coldly, and watched how sad she looked. Maybe I should tell her about it?

"What if you were given a chance to prove it to me? That you are worthy to be my Luna?" I asked her and she turned to me, her eyes widened like a saucer.

She grabbed my hands like she was trying to say something. I could feel the wave of emotions in her eyes and how frantically she nodded.

I held her hand softly then removed it off me.

"Do not get excited so easily. You have less than a month to prove to me that you can rule my people with me," I said to her and she looked down at her dress.

I straightened my posture as my gaze never left her.

"I'll take this as you willing for this," I stated calmly and then walked to the door.

I didn't bother turning back to see her pitiful face. I turned the knob and walked out of the room.

"You can return," I said to no one in particular but I knew they were there.

Almost immediately, the sounds of footsteps approaching could be heard and I saw the masked men. They walked up to me vigilantly, like they were scared of something.

"Watch over her and make sure nothing happens," I ordered then left the place.

" Understood, sir," They replied.

Soon I was in my study room going through some files and that was when my beta walked in looking troubled.

"What Is it?" I asked, calmly.

"I heard that you took the girl in," He said, somewhat angry.

I stopped with what I was doing, then faced him and saw how cold his expression was.

"Then, can you explain to me who told you this?" I asked calmly.

" That's not the reason why I came here. I really want to know why you took in a mute and a stealer," He waved his hand angrily.

" That is not your position to ask, Lucas," I stated with finality and he stood there shocked.

Aurelia's Point Of ViewI took a deep breath, my heart heavy with the burden of forgiveness and reconciliation. "Dante," I began, "I know that Vivian was involved in what happened to me, and I can't deny the pain and betrayal I felt. But I also know that she was manipulated by Genevieve, just as I was."Dante regarded me with a mixture of pride and concern. "Aurelia, forgiveness is a noble path, but it's not always easy. Are you sure this is what you want?"I nodded firmly, my resolve unwavering. "Yes, Dante. I believe that forgiveness can heal wounds and strengthen bonds. Vivian was once a dear friend, and I want to offer her a chance to make amends. Maybe, in doing so, we can rebuild the trust we once shared."Dante's expression softened, and he gently squeezed my shoulder. "You have a compassionate heart, my love. If that is your wish, then we shall go to Vivian and extend our forgiveness."Tears of gratitude welled up in my eyes as I embraced my mate. It was a step toward healing

  • Mute Luna    Chapter 128

Danciana's Point Of View I found myself standing at the edge of the dense forest, hidden in the cloak of shadows, my heart racing like a wild stallion. The tantalizing whispers of intrigue had reached my ears, carried by the winds of gossip that blew through our pack like a tempest. Alpha Augustine, the unyielding leader of the neighboring pack, had issued an ominous decree—the arrest of Genevieve, Aurelia's stepmother. I couldn't simply ignore the electric curiosity that surged through me. I had to know every detail of what was transpiring. With each cautious step, I ventured further into the foreign territory that belonged to our neighboring pack. The scent of unknown wolves hung heavy in the air, a strange and potent mixture with the familiar earthy aroma of the woods. It wasn't long before the clearing came into view, a bustling hub of activity teeming with pack members. My keen eyes roved through the crowd, searching for the familiar faces of my own pack mates. I approached Ezra

  • Mute Luna    Chapter 127

Bryan's Point of viewI couldn't believe my eyes. Was that Aurelia? I thought she was dead. So, Genevieve only lied to me. This was unfair. How could I have believed her? I neglected my own daughter so much, and now I feel like the worst father in the world. I felt like I let my own daughter down. I felt like I had ignored her when she needed me the most.My heart pounded in my chest as I walked up to my daughter, each step heavy with the weight of regret and longing."Aurelia," I called out, my voice choked with emotion. She turned towards me, her eyes widening in disbelief, and then she rushed into my arms, embracing me with a warmth that washed away the years of guilt and sorrow. "Father. I missed you so much," she whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks."I'm so sorry, Aurelia," I whispered back, my own tears mixing with hers. "I'm so sorry for neglecting you. I should have watched over you and taken care of you. It's all my fault. I thought I lost you.""You didn't lose me, Da

  • Mute Luna    Chapter 126

Genevieve's Point Of ViewI knew I was my own downfall, and no matter what I did, Alpha Augustine would still punish me. All I could do now was to plead with my stepdaughter Aurelia for kidnapping her and trying to kill her. I could be locked up for more than twenty years in a dungeon for my crimes. And I was scared to death that my mate Bryan may find out about Casey being my daughter, which no one knows for the past twenty-three years of her life.As I scanned the crowd, my heart sank as I saw Bryan join the gathering, his eyes filled with concern and curiosity. Panic surged within me, knowing that his presence might unearth the dark secret I had harbored for so long. The thought of losing him, the only source of solace in my turbulent life, was unbearable.Summoning every ounce of courage I had left, I rushed towards Aurelia, my knees hitting the ground hard as I knelt before her, tears streaming down my face. "Aurelia, please," I begged, my voice trembling with desperation. "I'm s

  • Mute Luna    Chapter 125

Aurelia's Point Of View:I sat down in my small, dimly lit room, engrossed in the pages of a thrilling novel. The world within the book offered a brief escape from the harsh reality I had been living through. Angela, my loyal and compassionate friend, walked in, her footsteps barely making a sound on the creaky wooden floor. She cleared her throat gently, breaking the silence that enveloped me."Hey, Aurelia," Angela said softly, concern etched into her features. "How are you holding up?"I closed the book and looked up at her, offering a faint but grateful smile. "I'm doing as well as I can, Angela. Thanks to you, I'm safe now."Angela's eyes softened, and she shook her head. "You don't have to thank me, Aurelia. I couldn't let them take you."I nodded, my heart swelling with gratitude for my friend's unwavering support. "I know, but I still appreciate everything you've done for me."Curiosity danced in Angela's eyes as she pulled up a chair and sat down beside me. "So, what's your n

  • Mute Luna    Chapter 124

Genevieve's Point Of ViewI was in my car, parked inconspicuously at our usual meeting spot, waiting for Casey. The cold air inside the car did little to alleviate the growing unease in my chest. Each passing second felt like an eternity, and my impatience was getting the best of me.Finally, the car door swung open, and Casey slipped into the passenger seat. Her face was a mosaic of emotions - anxiety, relief, and something else I couldn't quite place. I couldn't hide my irritation as I turned to her, my fingers tapping impatiently on the steering wheel."What took you so long, Casey?" I snapped, my tone sharp and accusatory.Casey's eyes darted around nervously, her lips trembling. "I'm sorry, Genevieve," she stammered, her voice quivering. "I... I couldn't find Vivian at our usual meeting spot."My heart skipped a beat, and a shiver of fear raced down my spine. Panic began to well up within me as I asked, "Are you absolutely sure? Did she say anything about us?"Casey's voice remai
