PETE'S POV

"This wasn't the plan; this is far from betrayal. I wish I had listened to my spirit—those signs that I kept receiving but ignored. Who knows if this is their first time; they might have been doing this, and I have been defending Selena in the presence of Georgia. Someone that I called the reason I live wants me to stop breathing. Maybe love is not meant for everyone; maybe some people are meant to be single forever without them knowing," I thought to myself as I sat under the tree. My heart was filled with pain and hatred at that moment.

I didn't want to go home; I wanted to keep myself away from anyone at that moment because it might be dangerous. As I sat there, there was a thunderbolt. Immediately, it started raining.

"Oh, the moon goddess has seen my pain." I tried to stay calm, but my heart was bleeding. I screamed, ran from the tree to another tree, and fell to the ground. My heart wasn't only broken; it was poisoned.
