Davina’s POV

The amount of pain that crossed Ian’s features at my remark almost made the guilt settle inside me, but I didn’t let it. I wasn’t even halfway done. I had so much pent up anger towards him that could leave him unconscious if I fully acted on it.

In my peripheral vision, I saw Jude and Robert stop their brawling and watch us.

Ian didn’t say anything to me. He quickly recovered from my last hits; both the physical and the verbal ones, and took his stance again, masking his face under a professional façade.

“Fight like you fucking mean it, or don’t fight at all!” I hissed at him before he moved to hit me again.

He increased his speed a little but the strength behind his kick was still so weak to do even any damage to me if he managed to hit me with it.
