Charlie’s POV

Max's scent completely catches me off guard as Alpha Zach and I step into the house and I drop his hand.

I knew he was here, Alpha Zach had already told me, what I wasn't expecting was the rush of feelings. I couldn’t see him of which I was grateful for because I was not prepared in the slightest for Max and I was not ready to face him, knowing how I had rejected him.

Instead I make my excuses to Alpha Zach and run pass the closed doors where Max's scent was strongest and straight into Alpha Zach’s office, slamming the door.

Thoughts were racing through my head, I had let him kiss me again, our bodies had been so close to one another and with no clothes on and now, now my ex was here, the man I still felt something for.

There was a soft knock at the door and at first I ignore it but it comes again followed by Ally’s croaky voice asking to come in.
