29. Failed Deal

I stepped backward, making my back hit the door. I had to keep my eyes from straying to his torso.

It was hard to look at anywhere but him, especially when I kept taking a look at his perfectly toned abs.

“I don't want to repeat myself” Kai’s cold voice sounded again, then I remembered he had asked me a question.

“Marcus told me to give this to you” I stretched out my quivering hand while I was holding the bottle.

“Is this the only reason you came here?” he asked, giving me a taunting look.

I was about to say yes, but remembered that I had taken the truth serum and I could not lie.

“Yes” I gasped out, surprised that I was able to lie, but I was hit with a sharp pain in my head, making me grimace and I suddenly started sweating.

Kai smirked and stepped closer to me, where the hell was he moving to. I screamed in my head, knowing I could not move backward.

His hand moved to touch my forehead, making me drop the bottle because I was startled, but luckily Kai caught it before it could hit
