Chapter four

Florian’s pov

It is my mother's wedding day.

I fixed my bow tie for the fifth time, My red curls slicked back. Straightened my back, I gave my self a nod in the mirror.

I walked out of the restroom, the wedding reception had just started and I have been avoiding my step brother. After what had happened the other day I was annoyed but I didn't want to react badly because of my mom so I decided to stay away from him.

I was hyper aware of him. Too much and my in the way you would notice a slibing.

My eyes always find it way to him each time which I hated badly. He wasn't even looking at me, he had ignored my existence just like I should be doing right now. I couldn't even stop thinking about him, he was annoying and arrogant.

“You have to stay clear of him Florian” I murmured under my breath before bumping into someone. “I am sorry” I quickly held on the person arm, stabling the stranger.

It was a woman, the one I saw with Jethson earlier. Maybe his girlfriend, I shouldn't care.

“It is okay, dear” she smiled and I frowned, from her scent she is a beta and mated.

Is Jethson's girlfriend is a mated Beta?

“I am really sorry” I apologized again before I pushed past her.

“You are really quiet like he had said” she spoke, her words stopped me from walking.

I turned slightly, “Sorry who?”

“Jethson” she answered, stepping closer to me. I won't be surprised he have said shit about me.

“Oh”

“Let me introduce myself, I am Kira Gwinnett.” She puts her hand out for a handshake.

My eyes fell on her hand, I stared at it for a moment before taking it. “Florian” I told her my name before took her hand, letting it go after few seconds.

“i know your name already and that you are Jethson's stepbrother” she said, “he wasn't going to introduce us so I decided to come myself” she continued smiling like she had just achieve something great.

“Okay…..” I don't really get why she wants to introduce herself to me,it not like I and boyfriend are close or Something.

“I, My mate and Jethson are going a party—not exactly a party but I want to invite you because Jethson wouldn't” she said, bring out her phone. “It starts ten tonight, can I have your number” she hands out her phone.

“Yes” I took the phone from her reluctantly, i should refused but I don't want to be flaged rude. I will just ignore her if she texts.

I would stay clear of her and Jethson. That way I won't bring any attention to myself. After typing my number and passed her phone.

“Thank you” she collects it, she still had a bright smile on her face. “I just know we will get along so well, I have to go now before They noticed I slipped away” she winked and brushed past me.

I stood there watching her walk away, hoping she will forget about me soon. After few moments I followed her and entered into the reception hall.

My eyes fell on my mom and her husband surrounded by pack members of the Pineclaw pack. She looked like she is one of them originally I leaned against a table of food quietly.

No one showed me attention which I like, I could just slipping away quietly when I felt a strong grip on my arm. I turned to Jethson, he looked pissed.

I tried to get out of his grip but he was stronger than I am. He started pulling to a secluded spot.

“Why did you drag me away like that?” I asked him, yanking my hand off him.

“What were you doing with Kira!?” He growled lowly, he pushed me against the wall, he used his Alpha tone.

I shivered. Fear rushed through me.

“I didn't—we didn't—” i couldn't find the right words, I was scared I hated being shouted on. It reminded of that night.

Tears burred my eyes, my breath started getting ragged. And all I could see is my mind in that place.

The man’s hand on my legs.

His cracked voice.

“Pls don't touch me” I whimpered, my body shooked.

“Florian?” Jethson called, shaking me. That was when I snapped out if it.

I wasn't there.

I was at my mother's wedding reception, in a corner with Jethson.

“Are you okay?” He asked and stepped away from me, he looked concerned.

I was angry and for the first time I lost it.

“Maybe you should have asked your girlfriend! Not everyone messes around like you!” I yelled, I tried to leave but he blocked me.

“What just happened?” He held me against the wall, staring down into my eyes.

“None of your business” I spatted, my voice was shaking.

“Right. None of my business. Stay away from Kira or everything you do is my business” he threatened, he eyes darkened changing red.

Which made me cowered in fear. But I didn't let him know he get to me, I pushed him back with all my strength.

“You and your girlfriend should stay away from me” I hissed.

“Yeah, You should stay away from us too.” he warned, his hands slides into his pocket and started walking away. He stopped halfway and turned. “Make sure you keep your distance, little brother.”
