When I find out there's a tumor growing in my brain, the Kane sisters are in the middle of celebrating Evan Kennedy's birthday with him. If I undergo the tumor-extracting surgery, I'll risk losing my memories. I don't want to forget the sisters at all, so I call them in hopes of seeking their help. But all three sisters don't hesitate to berate me on the spot. "Why can't you be more understanding, Declan? It's Evan's birthday today! Nothing is more important than his birthday!" Heartbroken, I feel immense pain wrecking my head. That's how I end up collapsing three times in a row later on. When I regain my consciousness in the hospital, I see a text message sent by Evan. "Declan, the Kane sisters have given me three protective charms just to protect me." In the photo, the "protective charms" are actually the very same charms I have managed to obtain after spending ten hours climbing a mountain while groveling all the way. My heart has officially died at that moment. So, I decide to fly overseas on my own to undergo that life-saving surgery and forget all about the Kanes. Weirdly enough, the sisters go crazy right after I've forgotten about them.

My Amnesia Made Three Childhood Sweethearts Desperate Chapter 10
Chloe yelled, "You knew! You knew Declan was sick all along! That bottle you knocked over in front of us was his targeted meds! Evan, we gave you everything! How could you do this to him?"Amelia and Bethany turned ghostly pale. They snatched the investigation reports to see for themselves. With every page they turned, the last of the color drained from their faces until they were trembling uncontrollably.Perhaps when they were actually doing these things, they didn't think much of it. But seeing it all laid out, they finally realized how deeply they had hurt me.I watched their pathetic display of remorse with cold detachment. It was almost funny. They didn't care when I was actually suffering. Why should I care about their guilt now?I began to wheel myself away, but Evan, who had been huddled on the floor, suddenly lunged toward me. He roared, "You have a tumor in your head! Why aren't you dead yet? Why are you still fighting me for them?"Do you have any idea how hard I wor

The Kane sisters ran straight into Evan, who had just come downstairs for a glass of water. He rushed over and asked in concern, "Amelia, Bethany, Chloe, where have you been? I've been so worried about you! Did Declan come back? Where is he? I know he's upset because of how well you treat me, but running away like this without saying a single word to us is so immature. Please don't be too angry with him."Upon hearing that, the Kane sisters didn't show their usual look of reproach. Instead, they seemed somewhat irritated.Evan's confidence wavered. He quickly pivoted to a placating tone. "Then again, Declan is sick. It's understandable if he's a little moody."Amelia's expression darkened. She lunged forward and grabbed Evan by the collar. "How do you know Declan is sick? What did you do to him?"Evan's face twitched for a fraction of a second before he lapsed back into his victim persona. "Amelia, I only just found out! A classmate of mine is interning at the hospital. He told me

The bodyguards, terrified of waking me, tried to haul the women by the arms. They struggled in a messy tangle but still tried to slip past and rush into the ward. The commotion drew a crowd of curious onlookers from the nearby wards."Let them in," I said coldly. The bodyguards froze and released their grip.Chloe shot them a venomous look. "We're the daughters of the Kane family. Any one of us could end up marrying Declan. If you ever treat us like that again, consider yourselves fired!"I let out a sharp, incredulous laugh. "Throwing your weight around in front of my ward? I don't even know who you are. What makes you think I'd ever marry you?"Amelia rushed to my side. She reached for my hand, but I pulled back before she could touch me.Her eyes were bloodshot, reflecting a profound agony. "Declan, I spoke to the doctor. He said the surgery might cause memory loss. It's okay. Even if you've forgotten us, we'll build new, better memories with you. Just let us make this up to

If Evan was screaming in pain over a tiny scratch, how much agony must Declan have been in?Bethany's expression changed instantly. She immediately headed for the door.Amelia and Chloe quickly realized that as well. They rushed toward the airport at once. They had to get to Declan. They had to be there for him and find a way to make amends for everything they'd done.…Declan's POVI didn't wake up until three days after the surgery.Aunt Linda was there, clad in sterile scrubs and keeping watch by my bedside. The moment she saw my eyes open, she burst into tears. "Declan, does it hurt?"I managed a weak grin. "If I can survive, then it doesn't matter if it hurts."Aunt Linda let out a chuckle and said, "You're going to live a long, long life, Declan."The surgery was a complete success. The doctor had warned me about potential memory loss, but so far, I could recognize everyone I saw.I had a nagging feeling that some things had indeed slipped away, but I had no desire to

I gritted my teeth and fixed my gaze on the bottle in Evan's hand. "Evan, give me the meds!"Evan seemed to savor my agony. He twisted the cap open, shook out two pills, and took a few steps back. He clicked his tongue like he was calling a dog over. "Declan, crawl over here and beg, and maybe I'll

Chloe chimed in from the side, "Yeah. You'll still get what's yours."I let out a dry laugh and replied flatly, "Okay."I didn't wait to see their reactions. I turned on my heel and headed back inside. In the hallway, I ran straight into Evan, who was wearing a look of pure triumph. "Declan, look

Having finished their tirade, Bethany and Chloe vanished as quickly as they'd arrived, rushing back to Evan's side.I picked up the medical report they'd thrown at me. My hands shook as I flipped through the pages. The diagnosis claimed Evan was suffering from long-term abuse, malnutrition, depres

Watching the Kane sisters shower Evan with such blatant favoritism felt like being plunged into a freezing lake.Evan's question from moments ago echoed relentlessly in my mind. How long would it take to replace me? The bitter truth was, they already had.My chest tightened so much I couldn't bre
