35. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

His expression tightened up. "I told you I'm not looking for the paper." 

"I'm not thirteen, Leo. You are. You should at least be truthful to me. I've had my life under threat because of you."

"That's why I've been coming to your rescue. I didn't mean for any of this to happen."

"Oh hell yeah, you didn't," Debby replied, scoffing. "How long have you held me hostage?"

"You fell unconscious the minute your head touched the water. You've been asleep for two days."

"What?" She exclaimed, to which he nodded, confirming what he said earlier. "What the fuck? I've been here for days? Aren't the police looking for me?"

"They are." He said, putting a bit of fish in his mouth and chewing it gently. Debby's stomach rumbled again. She was slightly reminded of the hunger she felt on the day she has whisked away from the hospital. "They are going to need some more days
