I couldn’t sleep all night. I was thinking about my call with Nathan. He sounded so mad. I was going to tell him as soon as I got home yesterday, but I guess Dakota beat me to it. That witch! I had an opportunity to twist her head off, but I couldn’t.

Her driver, who stood guard, with the scar on his face, looked terrifying. I had already had enough run-ins with scary men.

I put on my suit and decided on a fruit salad instead. I was too shaken to eat anything. Nathan was going to be back soon, and I knew he had a lot of questions. Thinking about facing him was sending shivers down my spine. I didn’t want to think about it too much, or else I would lose my meal.
