Chapter 63- Find my father
“Caputo.” Governor Brooks calls, but I ignore him and head straight for the door. Just then, the door swings open, and standing there is Theodore French.
I step back and pull Fenice close to me as the snake smiles. I clench my fist. I have seen him once at a hotel two months ago, but he kept his distance then.
“Giovanni Caputo, just the man I want to see. Brandi, look you stunning.” Fenice scowls as she squeezes my hand. I squeeze back to reassure her I’m here and he can’t hurt her.
“Who invited you?” Governor brooks asks as he glares at Theodore.
“Ahh, Fred.”
“It’s Governor to you.”
“Not for much longer,” French says.
