New Beginnings
I hummed a happy tune, which sounded a lot like Gitchee Gitchee Goo from Phineas and Ferb, as I walked up the stairs. It has been a while that I've felt so happy and free, no wries just pure serotonin flowing. I felt as though I should be worried that something was going to break my happy streak but I'll be damned if I let myself mess up my mood.
''How was the ice cream? Did you get me any?'' Lucas asked eagerly. He peeked his head out of his room just as I opened my bedroom door to ask.
''It was really good and no I didn't buy you any ice cream.''
