She walked out as she faced Alex and thanked him continuously. “ Thank you so much, I couldn't be more grateful. Is it okay for your girlfriend to come over for dinner and eat?” She added.

“ Girlfriend?” Irene widened her eyes in shock “ Will this woman stop already? I'm not his girlfriend; why does she keep on saying that?”. She thought as she looked at Alex, but instead, he was enjoying the thought of her being his girlfriend. He wouldn't have liked it if Irene went somewhere without his notice, but he could make an exception for the grannie since she addressed her well.

“ Very well she can”. Alex replied as he smirked in between.

“ Huh! I can my foot, is he my guardian or what?” But the words couldn't come out of her mouth as it was stuck in her throat. Alex liked her struggle, he knew at once what she wanted to say. Irene laughed awkwardly to ease the tension she was feeling as she turned to the granny and said, “ You didn't really have to ask him; I would have come on my own”.
