THEON

The mood in the room diffused faster than a popped balloon, going from one hundred to zero with just the blare of my ringtone. Alina’s expression closed off, the heat of our desire dying a swift and painless death.

I touched her arm and she turned to face me, her eyes no longer shining with want like they had been just a moment before.

“She’s at your door.” The words were soft but they held the punch of an accusation.

My fingers pushed her hair behind her ear and I lowered my lips to her forehead in an affectionate kiss. “I have no idea why that is. Let’s go find out together, okay?”

She looked like she was going to argue, so I leaned in and planted a kiss on her perfectly plump lips.

“Don’t go cold on me. We both know I didn’t ask her to be here.”

Her chest expanded with a sigh. “Okay.”

I linked our fingers together and padded over to the door. Pulling her to a stop, I unlinked our fingers and took a step to be in front of her before I pulled the door open.

“Oh, Theon.” Casey c

  • My Billionaire Rebound   WILL YOU?

THEONThe doorbell rang, drawing me out of the conversation I was wrapped in over the phone. Legal battles were draining, and right now, this one in particular was making me bite my tongue, exhaustion seeping through me like liquid through paper.“Are you expecting someone?” Ava asked. She was looking at me with expectation, and it just made me feel even more like shit. The woman I wanted to see more than anything in the world right now was refusing to take my calls. She didn’t want to even talk to me, that’s how bad I hurt her.“Not that I know of.”My voice must have carried the weariness that ate my bones because she offered me a sad smile.“She still hasn’t answered any of your calls?”“No.” My tone had a finality to it. I knew that Ava wasn’t to blame for any of this. If anything, she had tried to stop me from making the stupid mistake that I ended up making; but that didn’t mean I wanted to discuss the specifics of y crumbling relationship with her right now either.I sauntered

  • My Billionaire Rebound   PICK UP

THEONThe headlines were fucked up, and if wasn’t for the dread that reminded me I had gravely fucked up, sitting at the pit of my stomach, I might have even found it funny enough to laugh. What was the one thing I had always been very good at keeping? Receipts. Why, you may wonder. Well, they tell the truth when humans decide it’s more fun to do the exact opposite.“What are you planning on doing?” Ava asked. Some of the venom had left her voice, and judging by her current stance – shoulders rigid and back straight, eyes hard even though they struggled to not be – she was still very much in Alina’s support group.Hell, I was too, and I was the one on the other end of this.My head hung low. “Asides offering her an apology, I have no idea.”Ava dragged in a deep breath. “I hate to say this at a time like this, but you fucked up big time, Theon.”I turned to meet her eyes. “Trust me, I know.”“I mean, you’re high profile, especially here in LA. How could you do something as stupid as a

  • My Billionaire Rebound   WHAT?

THEON“Mr. Murphy,” Steven greeted as soon as I walked into his office, coming to his feet.He extended a hand to me, but I didn’t take it. My eyes just pinned him in place, causing the smile on his face to wilt as I glared at him. I was willing to be kind and gentle when I first came in, but all of that had already flown out the window.Everything I had and cared about was being seriously threatened, and I was going to make sure everyone that was involved in that suffered very slowly and very painfully. Sadly, Steven was now a part of that.“Sit down,” I ordered him.He swallowed thickly and lowered himself into the seat. “I apologize for…”“For what?” I interrupted. “Are you telling me you’re responsible for something that affects my reputation?”“No. No.” He was quick to defend himself.I sat down then, leaning against then backrest and folding my arms across my chest. “What are you sorry for then?”Sweat started to make its presence known on his upper lip, his discomfort sitting r

  • My Billionaire Rebound   IT CAME CRASHING DOWN

THEONToo many different feelings were raging war in my head, but I chose to sit with them, fingers wrapped around my phone as I struggled with whether or not calling Alina was a wise choice.A voice was calling back from my palm before I realized I had dialed by accident. A harsh exhale followed from me before I put the phone to my ear and closed my eyes. I had missed hearing that voice, no matter how wrecked I felt right now.“Theon?” she sounded tentative. “Are you there?”Exhaustion was creeping in through her voice, and it caused a frown to build before I could even think any better of it. “Are you okay?”My words came out harder than intended, but it was laced with the urgency of my feelings. Silence met me from the other end, almost like she couldn’t believe I was the one showing concern right now.I could understand her reaction perfectly, given the way I had been acting for the last two days. My palms scrubbed down my face and I exhaled slower and calmer this time before I sp

  • My Billionaire Rebound   WHAT IN THE WORLD?

ALINAThe ride to the hospital was tense. Mila was behind the wheel, her fingers gripping them so tight it seemed like she wanted to rip them off and beat the shit out of someone with them. And then there was Sarah, clinging to my arm like she was trying to keep me grounded. If the way she shook with anger was any indication, though, she needed the grounding more than I did.I sighed. “Both of you need to calm down. I’m sure nothing really happened, but I need to be sure.”Mila’s scoff told me all I needed to know: she wasn’t calming down anytime soon. “For his sake, I hope you’re right.”“By him, you’re referring to…?” I made an attempt to diffuse the situation.Mila shot me a look through the rearview to let me know she was aware of what I was doing, and didn’t find it helpful. I met her gaze, unflinching. I went through the heart of it, and whatever she anger she was feeling now was for my sake, I didn’t have to fear her.Sarah gave my hand a delicate squeeze. “I’m sure she means t
