BAB 169 I Bad News

“Did you tell him?” Jaxon chases after Nicko as he exits the treatment room.

The man gave a weak shake of his head. And, he added emphatically, “No, not yet. I’m not going to be able to do it. “

Jaxon drew Nicko into a hug after noticing his friend’s expression. One hand gently patted his back as he whispered encouraging words.

“If you want, I can do it.”

The sad-faced Nicko was skeptical after the two separated. He didn’t want to get carried away, as he had been when he arrived.

“Thank you very much, Brother.”

The two men exchanged understanding glances.

“All right,” Nicko said, leaving a group of friends sitting on the waiting chairs, each holding the bags of chips and bread Gavin had brought.

“Bye, brother,” the men said in unison, bidding each other farewell for the time being.

Five pairs of eyes were now staring at Jaxon at the same time. They were waiting for the head of the Red Cage organization to confess to the future in-laws who were in that room.
