A message notification rang from Mia's phone just as she was about to start her morning shift. It was Jaxon, so Mia immediately opened her phone after tidying up her personal belongings in the locker.

That was the message.
Mia's brow furrowed in surprise because that morning she didn't meet Jaxon at the dinner table. Piper said Jaxon was busy, so he hadn't been home since late, making Mia wonder where else he had gone.

“Mr. Bradwood has a private room in the Red Cage building, Miss Heart. Usually he stays there when if he has unfinished work.”
