Chapter Eleven

The next morning Gemma woke up and found Skye in her bed. Her daughter must've come and climbed in somewhere during the night. She smiled and climbed out softly so as not to wake her. Skye could still sleep for at least another hour before she needed to get up. Gemma could not help but wonder why Skye came to her room. She usually only does that when she is scared. She hoped that what happened last night, did not have a bad effect on Skye. That is the last thing Gemma wants!

Gemma took a long shower and stood under the warm water with her eyes closed and thought again about last night. She couldn't shake the feeling that Kyle wasn't going to back down so easily. He was very protective over Skye and would do anything to keep her safe. Gemma got out of the shower and dried herself. She took time again that morning to dress in something that made her feel good.
