Chapter Sixteen

Gemma woke up the next morning with a message on her phone from Grant as well as a missed call from him. She smiled while she read it and replied. It wasn't long and her phone rang.

"Morning, beautiful." Came Grant's deep voice over the phone.

"Morning, this is a nice surprise. Hope you slept well."

"I did, thanks, and you? You were the first thing I thought of when I woke up and I couldn't wait to talk to you. I didn't want to call earlier and wake you. I miss you, wish I could see you. Everything ok? I messaged you last night, but you didn't reply."

"I miss you too. Oh, sorry, it was an emotional evening, Kyle came by last night." Gemma said, yawning and stretching.
