David's POV

It didn’t matter what I was doing. Whether working, eating, lying in bed staring at the ceiling, she was there.

In my head. In every thought. Every breath.

Lillian.

Not Jasmine. Not the fire I set.

Just her.

The way she used to throw her head back when she laughed. The way she used to look at me like I was her whole world, like I couldn’t ever fall too far.

God, I miss that.

I miss her.

The silence between us was unbearable.

No texts. No calls. No signs of life.

I have never felt so erased.

I told myself I would give her space. That I would let it go. But this guilt, it’s like an chain around my neck, and I had to see her. Just once. Even if she didn’t say a word to me.

So I got in the car. Drove across the city to her office.

I knew where she worked, she has been in the finance department of that company for too long. Lillian had once told me it took her two years of late nights, and weekend calls to earn their trust.

It didn’t surprise me. She was always the most capable

  • My Boss Will Stop At Nothing To Have Me    Chapter 20

David's POV“David, what the fuck are you doing here?" Was her first words to me. I drank after I left Lillian's office. But, I wasn't drunk. No.I am very aware of what I was doing, but the most sane explanation I can give myself right now is that I don't want to be alone and Jasmine seemed willing.Despite her threats, I know she can't resist me."I had to come see you," I replied immediately, my voiceshaky as I felt myself about to cry. She liked when I was vulnerable, tht would do tonight."I can't let myself sleep one night without making sure you're okay. I-I saw your calls after I left and your texts, a-and I didn't answer you, I... I'm so sorry, Lil-Jasmine.." shit. I almost said her name. Hopefully, she doesn't catch on.The look on Jasmine's face showed that her heart ached tremendously at the sight of me breaking down, and she found herself failing to hold back her own tears.Bingo!Without a word, she walked over to me, embracing me in a thight hug, she allowed herself to

David's POVI drove to Jasmine’s place like a mad man.I didn’t text. Didn’t call. I wasn’t giving her time to twist this into another excuse or more delusions. I needed to see her face when I asked her what the hell she was thinking. Maybe then it would finally sink in, that this thing between us was over. When she opened the door, she looked surprised, but not scared. Not guilty. No, Jasmine looked prepared.“David,” she said coolly, brushing her hair back like nothing had happened. “Didn’t expect to see you so soon.”I stepped inside without asking. My jaw was clenched so tight that it hurt. “What the hell was that?”She shut the door behind me with a soft click. “What was what?”“Don’t play dumb. You posted on my account, Jasmine. You used my phone to access my social media, and you made it look like we’re some happy couple. You tagged everyone. You humiliated me!”Her eyes narrowed. “I did not humiliate you, David. I told the truth.”“That wasn’t your truth to tell!” I yelled. “I

David's POVIt wasn’t supposed to happen like this.Hell, it wasn’t supposed to happen at all.The image of Lillian standing in the doorway is still showing into my mind. Her face…shattered. Her breath caught somewhere between a gasp and a sob. I still hear the sound of her keys hitting the floor. That sharp clatter echoes louder than any words I’ve tried to say since.I wish I could rewind time. Just ten minutes. Maybe even ten seconds. Anything to keep her from walking in on that moment…on me. Her fiance, betraying her in the most cowardly way imaginable.Jasmine wasn’t worth it.God, I hate myself for even thinking her name right now. She was one Lillian’s best friend. That’s what makes this all feel like a different level of wrong. Not just betrayal. It was a double-edged dagger.I stabbed my love in the back and twisted it with someone she trusted like a sister.I can’t sleep.I lie awake, replaying it all in slow motion. The excuses I never got the chance to say.The guilt I nev

Lillian's POVI stared at the closed door to Nathaniel’s office for a full five seconds longer than I should have.It was just a door.A polished wood with his name written in steel. But now? It felt like a wall. When I finally gathered the courage to knock, I cleared my throat, smoothed down my blouse, and stepped inside the moment I heard his curt, "Come in."He didn’t look up.Didn’t glance my way. Didn’t even pause his typing.“Here are the documents for the Medford acquisition,” I said, setting the folder on his desk.“Thank you,” he said, voice flat, eyes still glued to his screen.I waited for something more.A look.A lingering pause.Anything that said last night happened and I haven’t stopped thinking about it either. But he just kept working.Dismissive. Cold.So I turned and walked out, heart sinking with every step.It wasn’t until I reached my desk that everything hit me.He was ignoring me.And it hurt.God, it shouldn’t have hurt, but it did. I was the one who left. I

Nathaniel's POVI woke up slowly, with that rare warmth that only follows a night worth remembering.“Hmm.”The sheets still held her scent…something soft, expensive, a little wild. My arm reached across the bed instinctively, fingertips brushing against cold sheets.Empty.I blinked and sat up, the realization settling in.She was gone.No whispered goodbye. No scribbled note. Not even the sound of her heels clacking down the hallway to see her off.Gone.I stared at the ceiling for a moment, then laughed under my breath.Of course she did. “Oh, Lillian.” I chuckled to myself.Lillian always had this air of self-control, like she wants control. Last night, though? She let go. She burned. She wanted me…and not as her boss. And now, she was running.I swung my legs over the side of the bed, amd stood. I didn’t regret a second of it.Hell, I have been wanting her for longer than I cared to admit. But she was always off-limits.Still, when she showed up last night, eyes bright, lips dar

  • My Boss Will Stop At Nothing To Have Me    Chapter 14

Lillian's POVI was already wide awake, eyes fixed on the ceiling, my body tangled in the expensive sheets of Nathaniel Caldwell’s bed.His bed.God.I turned slightly, careful not to wake him. He lay on his stomach, arm stretched across the pillow I had abandoned minutes ago. Hair all over the place, lashes dark against his cheek, the rise and fall of his back steady and calm.He looked peaceful. And damn it, he looked good like this.Too good.A little too real for the plan I have crafted like a weapon.I swallowed the knot forming in my throat and sat up slowly, the sheet falling around my waist. My skin still buzzed from the night before, his hands, his mouth, his voice echoing in the mind. I had thrown myself into it like I was starving, and maybe I was. Not for sex. Not even for Nathaniel. For control. For revenge. For a sense of power I had lost the moment I caught Daniel between that witch’s legs.I pulled my knees to my chest, arms wrapped around them, staring at the man besi

  • My Boss Will Stop At Nothing To Have Me    Chapter 13

Lillian's POV (18+)I closed my eyes and moaned. "You feel so good Niel," I said breathlessly."You do too Lillian," he whispered, claiming my mouth with his and owning it as he started moving in and out, gradually getting faster and deeper. His pace picked up and he started gently thrusting into me, looking down to make sure I was okay before he started going harder.Eventually he was slamming up into me and I threw my head back and cried out, gripping onto the sheets and squeezing my eyes shut tight."Is that too much for you baby?" he asked, stopping for a minute.Hearing him call me baby made my ovaries explode."No," I said breathlessly. "I want it hard tonight." I saw hunger flash in his eyes before he started driving into me again, going even harder until he was slamming into me, with the headboard banging against the wall and everything shaking that wasn't tied down.He felt so good I tried to scream out his name, but the intensity of what I was feeling took my breath away and

(18+ scene)Lillian's POVI thought for a while with my eyes closed. “Is this why you're here?” I questioned myself.Maybe if I use Nathaniel, Daniel would realize what he lost. Because, truth be told, I am hurt, more than I can score, but Nathaniel provides enough distractions to keep me busy. However, returning to an empty apartment toni6made everything crash down on me, I realized how lonely I really am.In my mind, I was ready for this game, but I knew I need to make the first move. So, here goes nothing…I stood abruptly, startling him.“What's wrong?” The concern etched on his face almost made me feel bad. But, I am not one to back out of a decision.I moved closer to him, he was more alert now, but his expression wasn't hostile, it was inviting, almost like he was ready for me to make my move.I stared at him like a predator would a prey, and held his face in my hands, slowly I leaned down while staring intently at his lips. Instinctively, he licked them and swallowed, making h
