Twenty Five

Something was spinning in the back of my head that hurt from the intensity.

My throat feels dry.

And, all I could see was darkness.

A single point of light appeared when I moved my very heavy eyes.

I squinted my eyes to adjust to the dim light that entered. I held my breath a moment later as I looked around the vast room that surrounded me.

This room is spacious and luxurious, elegant and really classy. In front of me was a view of the skyscrapers of New York night presented on a glass wall. The glass wall took up a quarter of the space at the front of the room. The other walls are decorated with a dark palette : silver, dark gray and black with several frames containing monochrome abstract paintings. The sofa is located a little away from the bed, close to the glass wall. Then, no more furniture.

I turned to the side and saw that there was an IV line standing next to the bed, and an IV line connected to my hand. Not only that that surprised me, I also turned out to be wearing an
