Chapter 2

I snapped back to my senses at once. Realizing what had just happened, I immediately blushed hard as I looked at Zachary.

However, when I saw him avoiding my eyes and even looking a little disgusted with me, the resentment in my heart instantly overwhelmed my shame and embarrassment.

"You were the one who grabbed me first! Why are you the one getting mad at me now?" I yelled back at him. "I don't care! The more you don't let me call you that, the more I'm going to do it!

"Zachy! Zachy! Zachy!"

I propped myself up from his bed and kept screaming his nickname at him, louder and louder with each repeated word.

Zachary's Adam's apple bobbed violently. His eyes instantly turned bloodshot as something seemed to snap in his head.

"Shout one more word, and you’ll regret it!"

I didn't stop, however. I just continued screaming the name at him. "I'll never regret it, Zachy!"

"You asked for this!"

Before I was even done provoking him, he suddenly grabbed me and threw me down against the bed, pinning me down.

I widened my eyes in shock at him.

A split second later, I heard a low moan in my ear, and it sent a deep shiver right down my spine.

Dazed, Zachary forcefully pried my legs apart.

"Zachary!"

I could hear my wolf howling in joy in my mind, but everything was just too strange and unfamiliar to me. It was a very weird sensation, and it was making me panic.

I struggled instinctively against Zachary, digging my claws into his back and leaving painful red trails in his skin.

I'd broken his skin, and the scent of blood in the air sobered Sasha a little.

He sobered up a little and immediately pushed me away. Then, he scrambled to his feet and rushed into the bathroom without looking back.

I stared up at the ceiling in shock, my brain a befuddled mess.

Zachary had locked the bathroom door from the inside, but I could still see the bright light shining through the frosted glass door.

His tall figure moved rhythmically behind the frosted glass. He had a very admirable, top-notch physique, and every muscle fibre in his body seemed to exude power.

My face burned as I recalled the scene just now when he had been right on top of me.

The sound of running water inside the bathroom was loud, but Zachary's suppressed pants and moans still made their way into my ears.

Time passed very slowly. Too slowly, in fact.

I thought of waiting for him to come back out to talk, but he still wasn't done, even half an hour later.

I was starting to get impatient. So, I rapped on the door and asked, "Why are you taking so long to wash up, Zachary?"

He immediately turned silent.

After what felt like a very long time, he finally spoke again.

"Tanya."

"Yes?"

"Come to the door. Press yourself against it."

I found myself doing as he said and pressed myself against the cool frosted glass door.

"What's the matter, Zachy?" I asked.

I could see my shadow on the door. I couldn't see into the bathroom, but I could feel that he was also right on the other side of the door.

"Just stand there and don't move."

His voice was getting rougher and hoarser, and I could also hear his panting increasing in volume and intensity.

A long while later, the bathroom door was finally opened again.

Zachary was wearing a bathrobe on his body. His hair was dripping with water, but his Alpha aura was very powerful and suffocating as he stepped out.

"You have ten minutes to pack up your things and go back out!"

His tone was as hard as stone.

"Zachary? You—"

He interrupted me again, this time, his eyes filled with a coldness that I had never seen before.

"The Elders’ Council has found me a proper mate. Stay away from me. I don’t want her to misunderstand.

"And stop calling me 'Zachy'. Our stupid little game ends right here today."
