Chapter 26

~ MAYA’S POV

I think Ashton was pulled back by what I said yesterday. Which is kind of a good thing, right?

For some reason, he didn’t come back to the room last night, I don’t know where he spent the night and I have no intention of asking him. I’m just glad that he didn’t mention anything about the punishment.

I am presently standing behind the kitchen counter making Ashton his evening coffee. This man takes coffee every single minute of the day. I wonder if he will ever get tired of it.

While adding a tablespoon of coffee powder, I look through the wide window between the living room and kitchen. Ashton seems to be very close with his grandpa, they have been talking all day and not to mention that they trained together. It’s pretty impressive to see a seventy-year-old man holding weights. Even I can’t do that in my twenties.
