Third-person pov:
Toby's eyes widened as he saw River and Henry approaching him.
"Shit, it's you guys!" he exclaimed.
"What's going on? Why are you so jumpy?" asked Henry, concerned.
Toby let out an exasperated sigh.
"I thought you were Sebastian's men. We've been on edge all day."
River chimed in, "Sorry, we got lost. We didn't mean to startle you."
"Enough chit-chat. We have work to do. River, get to hacking and gather intel on Sebastian. We need to know everything." Matthew said.
"Got it, boss," River replied before disappearing in the opposite direction.
Henry trailed behind her, his heart racing. They were both scared of being spotted by anyone. One mistake and they both would be dead meat.
Unfortunately, neither of them was experienced in handling guns,
Steve pov:I was screaming at the top of my lungs, "Maggie!!!" as Oliver was making his way towards us with a smirk on his face. I held Jeremy tightly in my arms, scared out of my wits. I refused to let anything happen to him."Please, Steve. Save me from him," Jeremy pleaded, gripping my shirt tightly."It's okay, I'm here. He can't hurt you," I reassured him, holding him closer to me.But Oliver wasn't going to let us off that easily. "Why are you giving him false hope, big brother? Today, I won't let him off the hook. He deserves to be punished for betraying me and falling for you. It's a grave offense," he sneered.Suddenly, we heard a loud click. Before Oliver could even turn his head, a bullet pierced through his skull. He fell to the ground, lifeless. As I held Jeremy tightly, I couldn't help but feel a rush of emotions. My eyes grew large and tears began to fall uncontrollably. Jeremy let out a loud scream and I looked over at Oliver, my dear brother whom I'd grown up with
Steve pov:We all waited anxiously outside the ICU as they took Jeremy and Maggie in. Hospitals have a way of making me feel uneasy, especially when people I care about are there. Seeing them lying in the hospital bed, fighting for their lives while we can only pray and hope for good news is one of the most frustrating experiences. It's heart-wrenching to witness their suffering, and all we can do is stand by and hope for the best. The room was tense and silent, except for the occasional sound of someone shifting in their seat or the soft hum of the air conditioning. I sat on the bench, tears streaming down my face as I remembered Jeremy's lifeless face. I felt so frustrated and helpless."Please, God, let him be alright. I can't live without him," I whispered to myself.Suddenly, Matthew stood up from his chair and hit the bench next to me, letting out a loud grunt of frustration. "I can't just sit like this anymore," he shouted.Toby tried to calm him down, but Matthew was having
Steve pov:I was lost in my thoughts, gazing at the serene beauty of the surroundings when I heard a familiar voice calling out my name."Stevie!!" I turned around to see Jeremy running towards me, his arms flailing and legs wobbling as he tried to catch his breath. I couldn't help but laugh at his funny antics. "Be careful, Jerry," I shouted, still chuckling. As he drew closer to me, I could see him catching his breath, his chest heaving up and down. His gaze met mine, and he smiled, revealing a set of pearly white teeth that shone brightly in the sunlight. The complexity of his smile was mesmerizing, and it made my heart skip a beat. I couldn't help but feel a magnetic pull towards him. The way the sun rays fell on his face made him look even more charming and handsome. At that moment, I knew it with certainty. I was head over heels in love with him. I wanted nothing more than to wake up every day to that beautiful smile, and to spend every moment of my life with him."Steviee,
Steve pov:The atmosphere in the hospital room was heavy with anxiety as we waited anxiously for any update on Maggie and Jeremy's condition. The eyes of each person in the room were glued to the doctor, who stood in front of us clutching a stack of reports. The doctor's gaze swept over us as he tried to process the information in the reports. For what felt like an eternity, there was complete silence as we all held our breath, praying for a positive outcome. The tension in the room was palpable and it seemed as if time had stopped still. Each second felt like an hour as we waited for the doctor to speak and give us some news on the situation."Ms. Gambino has suffered from minor injuries on her neck which were not that deep," the doctor finally said. "She got a few stitches. She will be fine. We can discharge her tomorrow."A wave of relief washe
Steve pov:Luca and I found ourselves sitting on a bench in the hospital, trying our best to calm our nerves after a tumultuous situation.I was completely drained of all energy, and my throat felt dried out from the constant crying.Luca, being the kind and thoughtful person that he is, offered to buy me a drink from the nearby convenience store. As we sat on the bench, sipping our drinks, we were lost in our own thoughts, trying to come to terms with what had just happened. In the midst of the quiet, a sudden high-pitched scream pierced through the air, jolting us out of our reverie. We swiftly turned our heads towards the source of the sound and saw Jeremy's parents sprinting towards the emergency room in a state of panic. Their faces were contorted with worry, and their eyes were red and swollen from crying. As they got close
Steve pov:Luca sat beside me and placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. I managed to muster up a smile, but I was completely drained. All the chaos and turmoil had finally taken its toll on me. I was too exhausted to even cry anymore. As I drifted off into my own little world, Matthew emerged from Maggie's room. I could tell by the look on his face that things were not looking good. I had to know what had happened."How is Maggie doing, Matt?" I asked, trying to mask my own emotions."She's not doing so well. She's sleeping now," he replied, his voice heavy with sadness. As I watched him struggle to hold back his tears, I couldn't help but feel the weight of the situation. It was clear that Oliver had left an indelible mark on everyone's lives, and not in a positive way.His actions disrupted our once-peaceful existence, leaving us all in various sta
Steve pov:As I stood outside Oliver's hideout with Matthew and Luca, I couldn't help but feel uneasy. The air was thick with the smell of burnt smoke, and the building looked like a haunted house with smoke billowing out of every crevice. We carefully made our way inside, stepping over the burnt remains of bodies and objects. I felt a pang of sympathy for those who suffered in the fire, wondering who could have done something so horrible as to burn down a place filled with so many innocent people.I searched high and low for any sign of Oliver, but there was nothing. The scene was chaotic and unrecognizable.I turned to Matthew, the fear in my voice evident as I asked him, "Who did this, Matt?"Matthew was standing guard, his gaze roaming across the surroundings, his mind alert for any possible danger lurking around. He turned around to face me and sai
Steve pov:With each step I took towards him, my heart started racing faster and faster. The sound of my heartbeat echoed in my ears, and I felt as if I was about to collapse at any moment. My feet felt heavy, and my hands were trembling with fear and anxiety as I approached his bed. When I finally stood next to him, I leaned in and softly touched his face. I could feel his cool skin against my fingertips, and I noticed how he was struggling to take each breath. My eyes filled with tears, and I tried to hold them back, but they found their way out and streamed down my face like a waterfall. As I wiped my tears away, I noticed that they had fallen on his hand. His hand was fragile, and I could feel how it was slowly losing its warmth. It was then that I realized how precious every moment with him was, and how much I wanted him to be okay. Then I re
