The room was quiet, the kind of stillness that only came deep into the night. The curtains swayed lightly as moonlight filtered through them, washing everything in soft silver. Liana had drifted into sleep without realizing it, curled up under the soft sheets of their shared bed.

But something stirred.

Warmth. A heavy warmth pressing into her side.

Her lashes fluttered, her heart giving a quiet thump when she felt it—a strong arm wrapped tightly around her waist, a leg slung possessively over hers. Nash.

He was holding her.

Her breath caught.

She blinked again, just to be sure. And yes—there he was, so close. His face was barely inches away from hers, lips slightly parted in sleep, hair tousled messily against the pillow. There was a certain softness in his face that made her chest clench. A raw innocence. Like he wasn’t the cold, unreadable man she’d lived with for years.

More like the boy she once knew—the one she used to stare at in the hallways during school, heart beating wildly in her chest, hoping he’d look her way.

And now, here he was.

Wrapped around her like he couldn’t bear to let go.

Her fingers trembled as she lifted her hand, gently brushing a strand of hair away from his forehead. He didn’t stir. She smiled softly, the corners of her lips twitching as her heart swelled.

He’s hugging me. Like I’m…something precious.

The thought alone made her stomach flip. She moved closer, just a little, and slowly, carefully—pressed her lips against his forehead.

But the second her lips touched his skin, his eyes opened.

Liana froze, heart lurching to her throat. She barely had time to panic before Nash’s hand moved to the back of her head and pulled her closer, his lips capturing hers in a sudden, quiet kiss.

Her mind blanked out completely.

She didn’t move at first. Her lips stayed frozen against his, wide eyes staring at him in disbelief. But when he kissed her again—this time slower, deeper—her hands instinctively gripped his shirt and her eyes fluttered closed.

It was the softest kind of chaos.

Warm, steady, electric. A slow crash of waves in her chest.

Her lips moved against his on their own, shy and hesitant at first, then a little more sure when his hand cupped her cheek and guided her into him. She gasped when his tongue brushed her bottom lip, unsure what to do, but then her mouth opened for him, and she stopped thinking.

This is real. He’s kissing me. Nash is actually kissing me.

He tasted like something she couldn’t name. Dark and sweet. Like forbidden dreams and quiet fire.

Her fingers curled tighter into his shirt.

Nash groaned softly into her mouth, and that one sound—rough, low—sent a shiver through her body. His hands were no longer still. One of them trailed slowly down her back, the other gripping her hip, pulling her flush against his chest.

Her thoughts were a mess.

His body was warm, too warm, and her skin tingled wherever his fingers touched. She felt like she was burning from the inside.

He broke the kiss, just barely, his breath heavy as he rested his forehead against hers.

“Liana,” he murmured, voice husky. “I’ve been trying to stay away… but it’s getting harder every day.”

Her breath hitched.

She wanted to ask why. Why had he been keeping his distance all these years if this was how he felt?

But all that came out was a whisper. “Then… don’t stay away anymore.”

Something dark flickered in his eyes. He leaned in again, his mouth brushing against her cheek, then her jaw, before his lips traced a slow path down the side of her neck. She gasped, her fingers clenching around his arms.

“N-Nash—”

“I’m tired of pretending,” he said against her skin. “You’re mine, Liana. You’ve always been mine.”

She had no answer.

Her body answered for her.

Every part of her was reacting to his touch. Her skin felt too tight, too sensitive. The way he touched her was possessive, hungry—but not rough. He was careful. Watching her face. As if asking with every move if this was okay.

She nodded, unable to speak.

He kissed her again, this time slower, deeper. Their lips moved together like they were made for it, like they’d been waiting years for this one moment.

His hands slid under her shirt.

She gasped against his mouth, her body tensing, but she didn’t stop him.

Her heart was racing. Loud. Like a drumbeat in her ears.

When his hand brushed her waist and moved upward, she closed her eyes, focusing on the feel of him. The warmth of his skin. The quiet sound of his breathing. The way her body reacted to every single touch like it had been waiting forever.

“Nash…” she whispered, cheeks red.

His voice was soft but deep. “You’re so beautiful.”

Liana’s heart nearly stopped.

No one had ever called her that before.

He pressed her down against the bed, hovering over her. His body shielding hers from the world.

She looked up at him in the dim moonlight.

“I never thought… you wanted me,” she said in a soft voice. “You always looked so distant.”

His hand came up to brush her cheek. “I was scared I’d hurt you.”

“You’re not hurting me now,” she whispered. “You’re making me feel like I matter.”

He stilled.

For a moment, Nash just looked at her. Really looked.

Then he kissed her again, deeper this time, with more need. His hands roamed her sides slowly, savoring every inch of her.

Their bodies moved together like they were meant to.

The rest of the night passed in slow-burning heat. Quiet moans. Whispered names. Silent confessions in the dark.

By the time the sun began to rise, Liana was curled up against Nash’s chest, completely spent. Her body ached in the best way, and her heart felt like it might burst.

His hand was in her hair. She listened to the slow, steady beat of his heart.

She smiled.

For once, everything felt… right.

She didn’t know what tomorrow would bring. But tonight—this one night—she would remember forever.

She tilted her head up and whispered softly, “Thank you, Nash… for finally choosing me.”

He laughed harder this time. “Don’t worry. I’m not taking you there.”“I—I didn’t even know these places existed!”He grinned. “You’re adorable.”She kept staring outside, then blinked rapidly. “Wait… are those men?”“Yes.”“But… they look…”She squinted. Her brows furrowed.“Their… um…”Nash raised a brow. “Their what?”“Their dicks,” she whispered, blushing furiously. “They look so small. Are you sure they’re men?”Nash nearly swerved off the road.He clutched the wheel, laughing so hard he couldn’t breathe. “Oh my—Liana!”“I mean,” she mumbled, covering her face. “I’ve only seen yours… and compared to that… those just look…”“Like peanuts?” Nash choked out between laughter.“I didn’t say that!”“You thought it!”Liana laughed too, finally letting her head drop against the seat.It was the kind of laughter that shook her chest, that made her stomach ache. The kind of laughter she hadn’t felt in years. She looked at Nash, still laughing with tears in his eyes, and her heart swelled.

The car still smelled like sin.Heavy, intimate, raw. The kind of scent that lingered long after the chaos was over — a heady blend of Liana’s sweet, aroused scent, Nash’s thick release, and the light sheen of sweat that coated both their bodies. The air was thick with it, every breath reminding Liana of the wild way he’d taken her just minutes ago.And her body wasn’t done with him.She sat curled against the seat, her thighs still trembling slightly, her lips swollen from his kisses, her pants clinging to her skin — sticky and damp. Her blouse clung to her chest in places it shouldn’t, and the ache between her legs hadn’t dulled. Not even close.Nash drove in silence, one hand gripping the wheel, the other resting lazily on the console, fingers occasionally tapping in rhythm — calm, like he hadn’t just devoured her in a public car.But his knuckles were still red from holding her hips too tightly.Liana shifted in her seat, thighs rubbing together in subtle friction, trying to calm

Every step made her more aware of it.Of how the fabric brushed against her bare skin.Of how exposed she felt — even if fully dressed. She walked down the stairs carefully, heart in her throat. Nash was already waiting in the living room, leaning against the edge of the couch, arms crossed, wearing black slacks and a fitted shirt that hugged his chest and sleeves perfectly. His eyes swept over her the second she appeared.Slow. Possessive.“You listened,” he said, voice laced with heat.Liana swallowed. “You said it like I didn’t have a choice.”“You didn’t.”Before she could respond, he was already opening the front door.⸻The ride was quiet at first. They were in Nash’s matte black Aston Martin. The windows were tinted, the leather interior cool beneath their touch. The city passed by outside in a blur — glass buildings, shifting sunlight, and the faint hum of early traffic.Nash drove with one hand on the wheel. The other? On her thigh. At first, it was innocent. A light touch. H

Nash didn’t answer. He hung up slowly and set the phone on the table. His breakfast sat untouched now, the coffee growing cold.Liana watched him in silence. He didn’t move. She stood quietly, walked around the table, and sat beside him instead of across. Her hand reached up and touched his shoulder lightly.“You okay?” she asked softly. He didn’t answer.Liana leaned in, pressing herself to his side, arms wrapping around him.He turned slightly, allowing her to hug him. Her cheek pressed into his upper arm.“You don’t have to say anything,” she whispered. “I just… don’t like seeing you like this.”Nash turned his face to her — slowly — his eyes shadowed, something sharp and conflicted in them. But the moment their gazes locked, the mood shifted.Suddenly, she was too close. His breathing deepened. And under the table, she felt it — his body responding to her proximity.Hard.Fast.His arousal pressed against the fabric of his pants, unmistakable. Her cheeks flushed.“N-Nash—”Before

Still in the black shirt he had left in, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, the collar slightly open like he had just returned and hadn’t even paused to change. His hair was tousled, his jaw shadowed with faint stubble, and his eyes… those dark eyes were filled with something soft and deep as they looked down at her.“You’re home,” she whispered, voice hoarse with sleep. His thumb brushed her cheek again, like he hadn’t stopped since she opened her eyes.“You look so innocent and beautiful while you’re sleeping,” Nash said, voice low.Liana’s heart skipped a beat. A blush climbed onto her cheeks before she could even respond. The way he was looking at her — like she was some fragile, rare thing that he was afraid to break — it did something strange to her.He leaned a little closer. “You know I was worried about you. That maybe you wouldn’t be okay alone.”Her lips parted slightly, caught between smiling and teasing. “Why wouldn’t I be? Am I a baby to you?”A slow smirk tugged at Nash’s

Liana smiled. “Because if I keep holding onto bitterness, I’ll never be free. And today, I want to feel free.” Mia blinked back a strange tightness in her chest, quickly turning to face the steering wheel. “Okay then. Hold tight. We’ve got a lot of places to hit.” With a small laugh, she revved the engine and sped out of the driveway. The tires whispered against the warm road as the sun blazed above them. Wind tangled their hair as the car rushed through the outskirts of the city, where traffic was light and flowers bloomed at the edge of the sidewalks. They stopped at a boutique first, one that Mia swore had the “cutest bags in the world.” Liana admired a soft pastel blue sling bag and ended up getting it, along with a pair of sunglasses that Mia insisted made her look like a “celebrity hiding from paparazzi.” Their laughter echoed through the store. It wasn’t loud, but it was pure—the kind that makes strangers turn to smile without realizing it. After that, they drove to a
