ALINA’S POV

She was given a choice, but here she was with her coffee-stained seat and a messy office, courtesy of her haters. But she had turned him down. She cleaned up her office and focused on trying to get some work done there, pushing down thoughts of regrets.

The rest of the day went by in a blur. It was time for lunch. On most days, for the past weeks, she had skipped lunch due to the constant isolation, but today she decided to go face her demons, and she chose an empty table to sit at.
