Liliana’s Point of View

I didn’t even realize it was already lunchtime. I had been so deep into work that the world outside my screen felt like a blur. Only when I heard a familiar voice did I snap out of it.

“Babe, it’s lunchtime,” Gerald said, his voice soft, familiar—like something I had heard a thousand times before but still found comfort in.

I turned to him slowly, blinking away the focus from my screen. Mirabelle stood beside him, arms crossed, lips pressed tight. There was something in her eyes—something unspoken, heavy.

“Oh… I didn’t notice the time,” I mumbled, quickly locking my screen and gathering my things. Gerald helped me without a word, like he always did.

“Let’s go?”

I gave him a short smile and nodded. But then, I glanced at Mirabelle again and hesitated.

“Uhm… are you coming with us?” I asked.

She tilted her head slightly, confusion flashing across her face—maybe feigned, maybe not.

“Didn’t he tell you? We have a lunch date today,” she said plainly.

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 106

Third Person’s Point of ViewTheo’s father called Jack urgently due to Theo’s current condition—his brother had once again locked himself inside his room and was now destroying everything inside it.They hadn’t been able to leave the Philippines yet, not because they didn’t want to, but because they still had matters to take care of. Theo, however, had grown restless. He was desperate to see Liliana again.Their father had told him that Liliana would eventually return. The Philippines was still her home—sooner or later, she would come back.“What is it this time? You know I still have work to do,” Jack grumbled as he walked through the front door. “And besides, that guy’s already grown up. Why are you still calling me for him?”“Watch your mouth, Jack,” his father snapped back. “And let’s get one thing straight—I don’t care how you feel about it. All I want is for you to keep an eye on your brother. Who knows what he might do to himself next?”Jack scoffed bitterly. “Of course. You al

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 105

Liliana’s Point of ViewI lowered my head, not wanting him to see my reaction. He gestured silently for the maids to leave, then extended his hand toward me. I stared at it, hesitating for a second.Slowly, I placed my hand in his, and he gently kissed the back of it. Then, he pressed it against his cheek.“Why do you look so sad?” he asked softly, concern lacing his voice.“This contract was only ever meant for one of us to benefit,” I replied, unable to meet his eyes. “And I was the one supposed to give, not you, Asher.”He gazed into my eyes and smiled, still holding my hand as he guided me toward one of the seats in the room. He didn’t let go.“There’s still a year left,” he said calmly. “And you told me we’d act like a real couple. Everything I’m giving you now… it’s because I want to. It’s a gift—from me to you. Because you changed me. You made me feel a happiness I thought I’d never have, not after all the pain I went through.”“Changed you?”He nodded. “In short, since you cam

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 104

Liliana’s Point of ViewWe were in the meeting room now, and I was staring blankly at the people speaking at the front. And for God’s sake—I couldn’t understand a single word they were saying! My brain was bleeding just from listening.I shouldn’t have come. I should’ve stayed in the office where it was safe, quiet, and in a language I could understand.I sat next to Asher, and while everyone else was focused on the presentation, he was clearly not paying attention. His fingers played lazily with mine under the table.“Can you focus, please?” I whispered, narrowing my eyes at him.“I am focusing.”Sure, that’s totally what it looked like.I suddenly remembered what happened earlier in his office. He’d started flirting with me again, slowly leaning in to kiss me. But before his lips could touch mine, I shoved my hand in front of his mouth.“Hold it right there! Calm your hormones,” I’d said, dead serious. “Didn’t I tell you to keep that thing in check? Unless you want to sleep on the c

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 103

Liliana’s Point of ViewWe were both sitting in his office. Asher was holding my hand while his eyes scanned the stack of papers in front of him, signing each one without missing a beat.Meanwhile, I glanced at the laptop in front of me where he had played a movie to keep me entertained. But honestly, how could I focus when he was busy working and looking so serious, while I was just… chilling? He finally placed his pen on the table, signaling that he was done signing. Then he looked at me—his gaze steady and soft."Are you okay?" I asked him gently. To my surprise, he suddenly pulled me toward him, causing me to land on his lap. My eyes widened as I instinctively looked at him, but he only wrapped his arms around my waist, refusing to let go."I'm really sorry for what I said earlier—calling you just my assistant in front of everyone."His words stunned me."Why are you apologizing? I was the one who told you to say that, remember? You don't need to be sorry.""I can't accept that. Y

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 102

Liliana's Point of View“She’s just my assistant.”I stood up straight, chin high, as I looked proudly at the people around us. I wasn’t going to let anyone mistake who I was beside him.“Shall we, Mr. Windermere?” I asked politely, keeping my voice calm and respectful. Asher and I walked into the company building, and I watched as he casually interacted with executives and high-ranking officials. I stayed beside him quietly, absorbing everything around me.But something—or rather, someone—caught my eye. There was a woman, standing nearby, wearing a radiant smile that was clearly not meant for me. She was holding a bouquet of flowers and looking at Asher like he was the sun she wanted to orbit. My eyes narrowed. Didn’t she already meet him yesterday?“Welcome back, Mr. Windermere,” she said sweetly, her voice dripping with intention. It was painfully obvious that she had gone out of her way to look her best for this moment. But what made me smirk quietly to myself was that Asher didn’

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 101

Liliana's Point of ViewAsher was currently getting dressed in his business suit, and I was going with him to his company today. He said he wanted to bring me along so he could show me around—which, honestly, made me happy.“Wife?”I looked up at him and saw him holding out his necktie, a small smile playing on his lips. I couldn’t help but smile too—he wanted me to be the one to tie it for him.I stepped forward, took the necktie, and gently looped it around his neck. I was glad I no longer felt awkward around him. It wasn’t like before, when it felt like there was a wall between us—maybe because he used to be my boss.We were getting closer to the day we’d finally announce our “relationship” to everyone. This was all still part of my plan to get back at Gerald.I noticed Asher staring at me, which made me raise an eyebrow.“What? Why are you looking at me like that?”“You’re beautiful.”I rolled my eyes playfully. “I already know that. You don’t need to say something so obvious.”He
