Reiner Caesar

Laura's POV:

"Who's this idiot?" He yelled at her, his voice sounding like knives. "You wronged and you have the audacity to spit rubbish at Caesar?"

"I said nothing wrong," Audrey fired back, but you could tell her voice was croaked. Sweat beads were forming on her forehead. "You're just terribly rude and I don't like it, Reiner!"

"You dare call me rude?" Reiner bawled, banging his fist on his desk, upsetting the files and documents piled on each other.  "You're rude to Caesar. You've got no idea who I am. I'll send you and your ancestors to the pit of hell where you came from, bitch. You've got no shame and respect. You've got a fucking smelling pussy you left unwashed for three good days!"

I felt chill rush through me. Reiner's got a cursed tongue if you know what I mean. He knows where to strike to make you cry.

"I won't stand for this," Audrey stood up sharply, her back stiff with rage and her voice shrieking loud and clear. "You're the most horrible man I've ever dated. Exhibiting toxic masculinity. Who the hell raised an animal like you, huh?!"

I shut my eyes, covering my face with my clipboard. Your worse mistake with Reiner is getting into a heated argument with him. You'd never win. The more you argue with him the more he brings up the heat until he crushes your bones and burns you to ashes.

Reiner's nostrils flared like a hawk. He reached his hand out to Audrey, grabbed her collar and jerked her closer to his face. His fiery red eyes caused Audrey to gulp a ball of saliva down her throat.

In that instant, I could tell by mere looking at her that she knew, she messed up.

"You have no idea who I am," Reiner said through clenched teeth. "I am CAESAR. Tell that to your other sluts when you hold your unreasonable meetings. You are dead, Audrey. Dead. You shall know no peace and forever be cursed. You've got ten minutes. Ten fucking minutes to get your sorry ass out of my sight and my island. You're henceforth banned from Sun island! Surprised? That's right, bitch. Forever you shall hear of Sun island but never set foot here. Your great grand father will regret this day, bitch. I am CAESAR. Don't ever forget my name, hoe. Now get the hell out of my sight!"

He released her by roughly pushing her away with the shove of his hand then sat back and brought out a bottle of Valentino Red, pouring himself a drink while he completely ignored Audrey as if she wasn't standing before him.

Tears welled up in Audrey's eyes. Her spirit was shattered to pieces and her heart minced to bits by Reiner. Crying uncontrollably, she snatched up her purse and ran out of the office, looking like a defeated wet hen.

I stood by the doorway, watching her leave. She was crushed beyond repair. I doubt she'd ever recover from Reiner's curses.

Well it's official. Reiner and Audrey have finally broken up. What a way to start up the week. It must be pleasing for Reiner though, seeing how unbothered he was about their crashed relationship.

I've always known this relationship wasn't gonna last. It was Audrey who took her affair with Reiner too serious. If she knew any better, she would've known the last thing Reiner wanted was commitment. He's that incorrigible rake who gets any woman he wants and when he wants to. Once he's gotten what he wants, he loses interests immediately.

REINER CAESAR. If you live in Sun island, the mention of the name CAESAR strikes fear and respect in the hearts of every man with a living soul in him. Caesar is undeniably that man. The man who had it all: Money, Power, Cars, Fame and the world in his palms.

He's popularly known as Caesar but his close associates and friends addressed him by his first name, Reiner.

I stood upright, my clipboard pressed against my chest as I watch Reiner took a sip from his glass.

Those sky blue eyes of his darted up to me and lingered. "Yeah, what do you want, Laura?"

I swallowed. It's nerve wrecking standing before Reiner. He's the most intimidating man I've ever met.

Sad to say but I work for him.

"Your meeting with the island's Bank manager, sir. It's scheduled for tonight at eight o'clock," I announced, toning down the fear in my voice.

How I wished I hadn't walked right into his big office while he and Audrey were after each other's neck but Reiner was very strict about his daily schedules. For a man as busy as he was, he tends to forget things a lot. My job was to remind him about his schedules at all times.

Reiner regarded me for a while as though I spoke in French. His gaze held mine so steadily, my eyes gave ground first. Then he grunted.

"Cancel it. Reschedule that meeting for tomorrow. I've got plans for tonight. Now get out of my sight."

He was in a foul mood, all right. When he's like this, he drinks and curses at everyone. I was glad to quietly leave his office.

Back behind my desk, I placed a call over to the island's bank manager and had the meeting scheduled. While I was at it, Jerry's call came in.

I stared at my iPhone as it rang noisily on my desk for as long as I can. I didn't want to answer that call.

Jerry was my fiance. We had a big fight a couple of weeks ago and haven't spoken to each other. It was supposed to be a normal couple fight but this one was way out of line.

I had found a woman's bra underneath our bed in the bedroom some weeks ago but I kept mute about it. Days later, it was a strand of brown hair on the pillow.

Jerry and I had dark hairs. Which only meant one thing. He had been cheating on me. I confronted him after I saw a smear of lipstick on his collar days later but the bastard denied all my accusations. He was a bad liar and he knew it but he was such a sweet talker.

The trouble with me is that I loved Jerry so much. I hated to think he cheated on me but there were way too many red flags blaring in my face. I just couldn't accept reality.

So I took a few of my stuffs and left home and lodged in a hotel. I felt I needed some time to clear my head.

But to add to all my problems, I still had to come to work everyday to face Reiner. My boss wasn't making my life any easier because he worked me to death. These days I work way into the night and retire home late.

Jerry called six times but I ignored his calls. He sent three text messages which I had no intentions of responding either.

I glanced at my wrist watch and was surprised at how late it was. My job for today was done. Time to head out.

As I cleared my desk, the telephone rang.  Reaching out I gripped the handle and placed it over my ears.

"Hello?"

"Is everyone gone?" Reiner's voice came softly to my ears.

I stiffened. Reiner's voice was usually hard and deep and masculine but right this moment, it was soft. He had never used such a low tone on me ever since I began working for him.

"Yes, Caesar," I responded. I address him as Caeser because that's how he loved being addressed. "The workers are gone. Only the security guards on patrol are on duty. Aside them, we're the only ones in the building."

Reiner groaned and I thought I heard him chuckled. "Come right back into my office now."

"But Caesar," I twisted my hand to stared at my watch. "It's getting really late. I can't—"

"Are you mad?" He barked at me through the line. "You do as I say. Be in my office this instance. You've got sixty seconds."

He hung up.

Curse you, you macho egotistical son of a bitch! I swore as I dropped the receiver and hurried back to his office.

Reiner's office stenched of strong alcohol. I was shocked to find an empty bottle of Valentino Red lying on the floor.

That doesn't look good. Definitely not good. Valentino red has a high alcohol percentage. If Reiner had emptied this bottle, it could only mean one thing.

He's drunk.

I didn't like what I was seeing one bit. Reiner can't hold his liquor well. Once he hits the bottle, he's an uncontrollable animal.

The office was in semi-darkness except for the moon light ray coming from the window. My eyes couldn't see quite well in the semi darkness. I've got a really poor sight especially in the dark which was probably the reason why I couldn't find Reiner anywhere.

"Um... Caesar?" I gulped, uneasily adjusting my spectacles while I walked further into the office. "You called?"

No answer. No Caesar either.

Damnit. Where the hell is he?

Suddenly I heard a swift movement and before I knew it, two strong arms wrapped around my waist and drew me roughly to a man's crotch which was hard with a boner.

I gasped and was about screaming when another hand shot out of the darkness and shut my mouth, trapping my scream down my throat.

Creepy spider legs crawled up my spine and cold sweats broke out of my skin as I stood transfixed against the stranger's body. I was so shocked I couldn't even struggle nor fight back.

My breath came in fast causing my heart to skip a beat. My heart banged so hard against my ribs, it came as the only sound that echoed in the office.

The man behind me brought his face to my ears and whispered down my neck. His hot breath stank of Valentino Red.

"Laura," his soft voice made me shudder. "STRIP."

My eyes widened. I mumbled against his hand which closed over my mouth, "CAESAR?!"
