"Are you hungry?"

I lifted my head at the voice, found the crazy woman holding up a sandwich to my face but I averted my gaze, who knew if it was poisoned.

"You don't want it, suit yourself then" she shrugged and took a large bite from it before going back to her seat on the branches.

My head went up as the sun burnt down on my skin. How long had it been since I was tied up, yeah,...two days. I have been held up against the trees for two days with this woman as my watch guard. With a weary sigh, my head lowered.
