[Let's have a date.]
A text message came in out of nowhere.
At first, Emily Greyson just ignored it yet right after the next second, another text message came in from the same number.
[Are you free?]
Then another...
[Can I talk to you privately?]
[Tonight...]
[Right now!]
Her cellphone chimed and vibrated restlessly with the haughty text messages she received.
Emily was not happy with this sender anymore.
Her heart was still bursting with anger due to her father's shameless words earlier.
Her anger was suffocating causing her difficulty in breathing.
Unstoppably, her nerves were trembling and her heart was full of hatred and rage.
She wanted to punch someone again and again to bend it.
Someone like her shameless dad!
Staring at her phone screen, she replied with overwhelming irritation.
Her eyes were fierce staring at her phone screen thinking the crazy sender.
[I don't date someone with a small p*nis, an impotent and very lousy in bed! Get lost and f*ck yourself! Stop bothering me, you jerk!]
This arrogant jerk must be taught a lesson!
Of all the people in this world, she had no room for a psycho who just wanted to make fun of her number.
Just not for tonight...
Based on the messages she received, the sender was too aggressive and full of himself.
It must be a random crazy idle man out there because only a few people knew her mobile number.
One is the manager of the club where she is working, and the second person is Brian Xavier whom she considers her best friend.
He has been her neighbor ever since her childhood days and eventually, he transferred to her school just recently to be with her.
Even his parents didn’t know that they were schoolmates now.
The last one is her favorite teacher, Mr. Chris Stanley.
Unexpectedly… her shameless father whom she didn't want to see anymore!
Just now he called to sell her mother's house.
When she was kicked out of her own house, she cut her old number and threw it into a trash bin.
It was a wise decision she made so she could move on from the past and erase those people who brought pain to her life.
Those people were insignificant!
But... after 5 f*cking years, she heard him again.
All Emily could think of was that her shameless father asked Brian's mother to get her number.
In the end, Mrs. Xavier tricked her son and got her number secretly.
Because Brian knew her situation and her bitter relationship with her father, there was no way he would betray her.
But then her shameless father would do all means to get what he wanted.
That just meant he could find her place and school eventually.
Thinking about this, Emily’s body shivered in fright.
Definitely, her father would force her to sign the documents.
Knowing how shameless he was, Emily was sure that he would do all means to get what he wanted from her.
No way!
There is no f*cking way!
Emily felt she badly needed to hide from him.
He should not know where she lives and where she is studying but then Brian could not hide all her information forever.
She needed to do something...
After she sent her reply and released a bit of her anger to the crazy texter, Emily felt a little relief.
She breathed in and breathed out slowly and she did again and again to stabilize her emotions.
Just when she thought that the unknown sender of the text would not bother her anymore, her phone rang and at this time, it was a call from the crazy jerk.
Emily couldn’t believe it as she frowned deeply and sneered hating the unknown person.
Her grip tightened on her phone.
She was completely ready to release her wrath over this arrogant jerk but when she slid the call accept button….
"Wanna try me to prove it?" Suddenly, a magnetic sexy voice sounded carrying a teasing classy tone.
Emily suddenly felt all her veins twitch.
Instantly, her ears were burning with the man’s lustful words.
Her mind suddenly became idle and her skin hair stiffened in the air.
Her heart was pumping so fast.
This man is not just arrogant but also a psycho!
Dirty!
A pervert!
Fear suddenly enveloped her.
She became vigilant in her surroundings as she subconsciously looked around full of suspicion in the place.
When she finally felt that no one was following or watching her, she heaved a big sigh of relief.
After breathing furiously, she was about to scold him but… he hung up.
“Grrr!” With face flustered in disgust and anger, she immediately released her irritation in the air.
Feeling so agitated, she got her phone, cribbled the keypads then smirked mockingly.
Her bad mood tonight would never allow this jerk to just get out of the hook easily.
He should regret choosing her tonight as a target.
[If you are too good in bed, you will never boast to some random girl like me unless you are just seeking some attention. It just proves that your words were the opposite. If I were you, I’d be contented with my cutie patootie. It will help you gain more confidence though… Pervert!]
After she sent this message, she immediately blocked the pervert’s number.
Out of impulse, she then strongly kicked a tin can on the street feeling a bit relieved.
She could not imagine how angry the pervert’s man was now because of her provoking message.
Actually, she was giving him his own dose of medicine!
The sound of the tin can smashing on a metal post created a disturbing sound.
She quickly crossed the street to avoid her being caught by the night patrollers.
Emily heaved a sigh continuously walking to the bus station.
Until…
A sports car suddenly stopped in front of her blocking her way.
The car was a limited Bugatti La Voiture Noire.
She just saw it coincidentally the other day in a newspaper with another bus passenger beside her reading the article.
She just glanced at it for a while but never expected to see this cool car up close.
After being stunned for a while, she frowned.
Even though the driver had the most expensive car in the world, this driver had no right to block her way just like that.
No one owned the world and she believed it was still free for everybody including the poor ones.
Why did the driver stop in front of her when the side street was so wide?
Is the driver drunk?
Then he should not drive or he will be putting someone in danger!
'What a lucky night to be surrounded by different crazy people!'
She thought as she rolled her eyes.
Emily was not in the mood and was too full tonight.
She didn't want to fight with the driver and be pissed again and again with different people in one night.
So, she decided to avoid this crazy driver and went to walk in a different direction but the car's window suddenly rolled down and the driver's face suddenly appeared right in front of her eyes.
Emily jerked up and at this time, it was for a different reason.
Her eyes widened and went round and rounder.
They then sparked excitedly.
An overwhelming amusement was shown in her expression.
Her jaw dropped and her mouth went wide open.
"Wow!!!"
She exclaimed openly in the air.
It was the only word she could utter as she was shocked and speechless.
Emily could not hide her excitement.
The driver….
He is the only man she admired for a long time.
He is the only man who helped her survive every day...
He is the only man who made her happy...
He is the only man who she secretly loves from afar.
The handsome man in front of her was none other than...
The superstar...
Her darling superstar...
Charles Adam!
Charles Adam looked like a Greek god with his great physique.
He was tall, had broad reliable shoulders, delicate fair skin, a tall pointed nose, luscious lips that were so tempting, mysterious eyes, and had perfectly sharp jawline.
Plus, his extraordinary elegance made him appear gorgeous and dignified.
With his perfect features, one could easily say that he is God’s perfect creation.
Others say Charles is God’s favorite human being because he had everything!
His beautiful eyes carried a deep mystery that no one could see through.
Though he is famous and everyone’s eyes are watching him, his private life remains confidential.
Some paparazzi tried to break this wall but at the end of the day, they all failed.
Charles remained undisturbed with his fame because he was naturally born with a golden spoon.
Emily blinked her eyes repeatedly just to make sure that she was seeing the real thing!
Then she pinched her arms repeatedly to make sure that she was not dreaming!
“Ouch!”
It hurts!
But…
She still could not believe it at all!
Emily did everything to make sure she was still alive or maybe she died earlier in an accident and now, she was already in heaven!
And Charles is the angel!
'Gosh!'
She quickly shook her head to get rid of her weird thoughts.
Still shocked and rooted in her spot, her eyes blinked repeatedly still trying to figure out if he was real or not.
Emily could not even utter a word and her eyes were fixated on him, afraid that the beautiful man's face would disappear in a blink.
'Gosh!'
'If you are just a dream, please stay longer with me!'
Though she knew that she was gone paranoia, still she deeply hoped in her heart giggling secretly.
Snapping out her senses, she thought maybe she was just being delusional.
She was so too loaded today because of two different people who tried to ruin her day.
Tired and emotionally exhausted, she could only think of Charles to ease her.
His name and gorgeous image in her mind were giving her an extra energy booster whenever she badly needed it.
Thinking of Charles, she smiled sweetly unbothered by the presence of a man in front of her.
Emily's eyes were lovely sparkling in amusement until the man raised his hand and moved his slender index finger signaling her to come closer.
If she was caught in a dream with him, she didn’t want to wake up but the situation seemed to be different.
She shook her head trying to snap back to all her senses but then the man's face didn't fade.
She seemed not dreaming at all!
Charles looked handsomely.
His eyes were void of any expression.
Subconsciously, her feet moved forward.
She was also stunned with herself but then again, who would miss this rare opportunity?
The superstar is in front of her!
True or not...
Real or illusion...
The man whom all the girls wanted to see up close but only a few were lucky to meet him in person.
Now, she thought her night was a total disaster but it was actually her luckiest night!
Emily walked closer to the car then suddenly the car's door opened.
She looked at the handsome man in a trance.
Charles's head tilted inviting her to enter inside.
Without any hesitation, she entered.
Then Charles smirked meaningfully.
The next morning…Emily arrived late to the breakfast area, her steps slow, her body heavier than usual—as if the ache from last night had followed her into the daylight. The warm scent of coffee and freshly baked bread did little to settle her nausea. Her eyes were swollen, her face pale, and despite her attempt at a polite smile, the fatigue was carved into her expression like a bruise.Justin was already seated at the long table with a few others. The moment he saw her, he tilted his head with concern.“Whoa, Em…” he said softly, standing as she approached. “You okay? You look like you barely slept.”Emily froze for half a second before forcing a short laugh. “What? No—I’m fine.” She waved a hand, brushing it off too quickly. “Just a headache. Must’ve been the wine.”Justin narrowed his eyes, unconvinced. “You didn’t drink that much.”“I guess it hit me harder than I thought,” she said, slipping into the seat beside him and keeping her gaze fixed on the empty plate in front of her.
Emily was taken aback. She couldn't process his words—not clearly, not quickly. Maybe she had misheard him. Maybe the wine had blurred her senses, wrapped her thoughts in fantasy and made her hallucinate a truth she so desperately longed for.But his eyes…They were still on her. Sharp. Intense. Unwavering. And that look alone made her breath falter, made her nerves tremble beneath the weight of her own heartbeat. She didn’t know what he meant exactly. Not yet.But she wanted to believe something impossible…That he wanted her to stay away from Justin… not for Warren's sake, but for his own. That Charles was jealous.Because he wanted her.Her lips trembled as she finally found her voice, fragile and uncertain. “What… what do you mean?” she asked, almost breathless, as if her body feared her question more than his answer.Maybe she was imagining things.Maybe the wine was playing tricks on her sanity.Charles didn’t speak. He simply stared—taking in every inch of her face beneath him.
Emily sat beside Justin in the candlelit dining hall, trying to steady the rhythm of her breath beneath the elegant hum of cutlery and soft violin. It was a VIP lounge designed for the most exclusive individuals. No paparazzi, no fans, and noise. Though the decor shimmered and the food was plated like art, a quiet ache had nestled in her chest—and no amount of ambiance could mask it.Justin caught her gaze with a reassuring smile, his elbows resting casually on the table.“My dad made the call this morning,” he said, voice low and deliberate. “Your academic documents were secured. No more stonewalling. You’ll graduate.”Relief spilled into Emily’s features. “Seriously? Justin… I don’t know how to thank you.”“That’s nothing. Having you is already a good thing.”She hesitated, then glanced away. “But why would he help me?”Justin exhaled and reached for his drink. “It’s complicated.”She turned toward him, worried. “What’s the consequence?”He paused, then flashed a crooked grin. “Let’
A faint red mark, just at the curve of her neck. Charles’ mouth from last night—his kisses, his rough sucking, left something.Charles saw it. Unbothered. He stared, and he seemed to find it attractive. His throat moved as he swallowed hard. His hand clenched subtly on the newspaper. Nancy didn’t notice.Emily’s cheeks flamed.Gosh. Not now. Not here.“ I… I burned myself,” she blurted, too fast. “With the curling iron. Yesterday.” She forced a laugh, brittle and false. “I’m so careless.”Nobody pressed further. They seemed to accept his words, and no one doubted.Except Charles. He was still looking. Still burning through her with that unreadable stare. You did this, she thought. You put me here. And now you sit there without a care. She cursed his name silently. Over and over. Before someone could ask her again, she quickly raised a question to Justin to change the topic. “Why are you here?”Justin suddenly leaned close again, voice low with teasing ease.He grinned.“Because I miss
The morning sunlight spilled through the curtains, warm and golden, but it felt cold against Emily’s skin. She stirred slowly, her body still wrapped in the heat of memory—his arms around her, his lips brushing her forehead, the weight of his breath soft against her hair. But the space beside her was empty. The sheets, once tangled between them, now lay flat. Untouched. He was gone.Emily blinked, disoriented. Her hand instinctively reached out to the cool linen. No warmth. No trace.A hollow ache bloomed in her chest. Sharp. Deep. Immediate.Last night came back to her in waves—his warm hands, his breathless kiss, the way he held her like she was the only thing anchoring him. But he didn’t take her, didn’t cross the final line. He had kissed her, touched her, clung to her like a drowning man—but he’d stopped before either of them fell too far. She saw him gulp hard, forcing himself to stop and roll beside her.He had pulled her close and simply held her. They were hugging to sleep, j
Emily slapped him. Fury, fear, and shock were in her eyes. The sound cracked through the silence, sharp and final. Her hand trembled. She wished it didn’t, but she had to do it before she lost control. Before she would forget everything. Before, they could do something they would regret later.‘No! This can’t happen!’ Her mind was shouting, forcefully awakened. She then shoved Charles hard, breath catching in her throat. But Charles, unfazed by the sting of her slap, reached for her again. His arms wrapped around her with a desperation that stole the air from the room. And then—he kissed her. Again. This time, it was different. Softer. Slower. A kiss soaked in longing and remorse, not fire. Its warmth gave her nerves an electric shock. She felt millions of tingling sensations coursing wildly through her body. She could feel his lips savoring hers, sending a message that she couldn't figure out, and with a sensation impossible to ignore. His lips were very soft, giving her all the reas
