Chapter 05

Katherine's POV

Few years ago,

I was walking towards my home after shopping when I saw Travis, my classmate and also a biker standing with his friends and I saw my friend, Adam standing with them.

“Hey, Adam.” I called him while he was also happy to see me unlike others who just rolled their eyes.

“See this.” saying Adam started his usual stunts with his Rolling shoes.

I borrowed one from him and we wore only one shoe on our legs while slippers on the other leg.

“This didn't look good.” Travis warned but without minding him we started having fun but I lost my balance and lost hold of Adam's hands and was about to fall on a bike.

“No!!!” I shouted in fear as I got near the big bike when two hands caught my waist and lifted me before I hit the bike.

It's Travis, we stare at each other and that's the moment I realized I am in love.

Present days…

“And the same boy humiliated me in front of the whole class. I thought Benjamin was different.” I said sobbing to Leo who was pushing more tissue paper to my side silently asking me to cry loudly if I wanted to.

“I am stronger than this, Leo.” I said when I heard someone knocking at my door and was surprised to find two police officers.

“Miss. Katherine Grey?” I confirmed to them that it's me while they revealed they came to investigate me as I am one of the closest friends to Benjamin which I tried to deny.

“The victim, Sofie, has a doubt on you and we need to investigate you.” he said and I am surprised to hear it's Sofie who was about to be molested by Benjamin.

I remember Benjamin keeping his distance with the girls who tried to throw themselves on him at the party. He didn't show any lusty expression when Sofie tried to help him and touched his naked body when he was injured from the robbery attack.

I realized there is something wrong.

“What did she accuse me of, Sir?” he said I would have provoked him as we are in relationship but I refused to have s*x with him and because of that he tried to molest her.

It doesn't make sense at all and I realized What to do to get the truth.

I convinced them to take me to Benjamin's cabin saying even I am on their side and there was a video of him forcing himself on me recorded in his office CCTV camera.

“Thanks Sofie, otherwise I wouldn't have shown his real face to the world. I was too scared to take action but you are the strongest.” I hugged her smirking silently and went inside while she was confused.

10 minutes later, the policeman rushed outside to arrest Sofie as I walked out with the pen drive which they played in front of the media.

“Benjamin, I love you. You should accept me.” Sofie said and came closer to Benjamin and tried to hug him but he pushed her asking her if she had gone mad.

Then a few conversations later, she started tearing her clothes and ran out shouting that Benjamin is trying to force himself on her.

People who were consoling her saw her in a mocking way and gave a disgusting look. She got embarrassed and started shouting that Benjamin was not a human and he should be in the zoo or else he would kill everyone.

Police tried to handcuff her but she ran and jumped from the top of the building and was declared dead. Everything happened so fast that it was shocking and unbelievable.

Benjamin was released and he held a funeral for Sofie which we both attended while other staff members attended for Benjamin. Benjamin didn't show any emotions but I felt like he was going through a lot as Sofie was his best friend.

I reached his home with him to make sure he was okay and decided to leave after cooking something for us.

“I will make something for you.” Benjamin tried to deny it but I decided to cook something while Benjamin went to freshen up.

The current went off suddenly and I turned on the light from my phone and tried to cook when I felt a hand caressing my stomach and saw Benjamin looking at me romantically.

“Thanks for believing me, Kat.” he said slowly, breathing passionately on my neck.

Turning off the stove, I kissed him and didn't realize what happened next and found myself naked and in Benjamin's arms on his bed.

We are not even covered with bed sheets and looking at each other's eyes and were about to become one when Benjamin got up from bed and started wearing his clothes angrily.

I covered myself with the bed sheets and saw him confused when he threw me my dress and asked me to leave.

I was humiliated and tried to take my dress and leave the room when my bed sheets fell from me and he saw me naked again and groaned in anger and went from there with a disgusted expression.

I controlled myself from getting angry but tears started flowing from my eyes and got dressed and ran from there without talking to him.

I was trying to forget the humiliation and did something which I promised to never do. I took sleeping pills but more than the limit and fell immediately on bed breathing heavily.

It's not a suicide attempt but I was emotional and didn't think properly and did this stupidity. I tried vomiting everything but went unconscious while vomiting.

The last thing I heard was Leo trying to wake me up and heard someone opening the front door.

The next day, I found myself in the hospital and remembered someone opening the main door last night and realized only Benjamin has the spare key to my house.

I felt someone walking in with the doctor and looked up in the hope to see a regretful Benjamin but shocked to see someone who I wished I would never see again.

“Adam?”
