NELSON

The girl beneath me moans, her nails clawing into my back like she can stake a claim on me. She's way too pathetic, nothing but a warm body I picked off the streets earlier.

A nameless slut with ginger hair and big, watery blue eyes.

And she's pretty as hell..

I slam harder into her, chasing my own release while she whimpers sweet gibberish. She gasps, clutching me tightly, screaming that I'm too much.

“Shut up,” I growl, gripping her chin, forcing her to look at me. Her pupils are blown wide, her lips swollen. She’s looking at me like I’m some kind of god.

And maybe I am.

I take her again and again until she’s trembling, weak, and sprawled across my sheets.

I light a cigarette after, dragging the smoke deep into my lungs while she curls against me like she belongs here.

“You’re… intense,” she breathes out, brushing ginger strands from her sweaty face.

“And you talk too much,” I reply flatly, exhaling smoke in her direction.

She giggles, probably thinking I’m joking, but I'm

ALEXANDERIt's been a few days since Ethan proposed coming with me.Days with Hudson nagging me against it.And days of intensively teaching Ethan how to connect with his wolf—and failing about a hundred times.Ethan’s eyes snap open, flickering between hazel—with flecks of gold—and his usual brown orbs. “It’s not working...”Hudson kicks the bottle of wine on the grass, cursing beneath his breath. “He’s not ready to come with us,” he points out, voice firm, unwavering. “He can’t come with us when he can’t tap in with his wolf.”Hate to admit it, but Hudson’s right. If Ethan’s going to come with me to a different pack, he needs to learn how to fend for himself. And this—this whole situation—it’s making me quite exhausted.Ethan is sprawled on the grass, his chest heaving, hands stretched at the back of his head. “What makes you think I can’t tap into my wolf because I’m weak?” He throws this question at Hudson, who is slowly getting distracted by something else on his phone. “What if

  • My Dear Master, We're Mates! (M×M)   CHAPTER 134: Get married or run.

ISABELLA’S POVSpending an entire day in my room isn't really my thing. My curtains are drawn shut, lights off, pillows clutched to my chest like it's the only thing that can save me from this misery. My father's words still echo in my head. Hell, I don't think I forgot it for a second. My father wasn’t joking when he said it. His face was too serious, too final. From the way he looked at me, I could tell I'm already sold off and there's no escape for me. Till this moment, I still find it hard to understand why he picked Lord Regal. His family is fairly rich, but not as powerful as Father usually wants. That part doesn’t make sense. Why them? Why him? Why chain me to a man I'm not even interested in?I feel so caged. Like I've been shoved into a box and dumped into a quarry. I'm supposed to be strong, I know. I'm supposed to keep my head high and accept my fate as the vampire lord's daughter. But right now, all I want to do is scream. To scream as loud as I can. To bring down

  • My Dear Master, We're Mates! (M×M)   CHAPTER 132: Marry the Alpha's daughter

ALEXANDERIt’s the day of my mother’s funeral, and I don't feel anything. Not sadness, not grief, nothing. I have no memories of her and no desire to form any because she's always been a distant figure I never really needed. However, her death's still a bit mysterious to me. Reaching for my black tux in my closet, I wear it slowly, watching my swift movements in the mirror. I have other pressing issues weighing on my mind. So I just want to get this funeral over with. The car ride to the graveyard is silent. Nelson sits next to me, his face buried in his hands, though his tears don’t seem real. The moment we reach the funeral site, it feels like time slows down. The mourners are gathered, their faces serious, their eyes lowered. Nelson keeps sobbing like a child, loud and unrestrained, and God it irritates me.Is he even my older brother? This grown man who can’t even hold himself together for a moment like this? His tears are so heavy and exaggerated, they make my stomach turn.

ISABELLAThe game is way too simple. I'm bored out of mind, and this seems like the only thing I can do at this moment. I ask a question about me. If my maid answers correctly, she leaves untouched. If she answers wrong, I drink from her. Nothing fatal, it's just a taste. Enough to keep them afraid and keep me entertained.I lean on the velvet couch, twirling the stem of a crystal goblet between my fingers. It’s not wine that swirls inside, though it shines just as red. It's blood. Sweet, intoxicating, blood. “What’s my favorite color?” I ask in a sing-song voice, enjoying this.Marcy, the one with shaking hands, blurts quickly, “Red, Miss Vitale.”I smile faintly. “Correct. You may go.”She doesn’t just go, she flees, nearly stumbling into a vase like she's terrified of her own self. It almost makes me laugh. My eyes slide lazily to the next one. Elena, the youngest. Her gaze flits toward the door, her throat bobbing nervously.“Your question,” I say, stretching like a cat. “Wh

ETHAN Breakfast doesn’t taste as strange as it did yesterday. Maybe I’m finally getting used to the voice in my head or maybe I’m just too tired to argue with it anymore. Either way, I eat in my room, grin to myself, and decide I need answers. Answers from Caroline. I find her near the training ground, except she’s not training. She’s… dancing. Her arms are moving, feet stomping in rhythm under the shade of a tree. Her brows are furrowed like she’s working through a war in her head. She notices me watching, and the groan she lets out is loud enough to reach me. She bends down, clearly ready to grab her stuff and leave. “Don’t even think about running,” I call. “You can’t avoid me forever, you know. At some point, you’ll have to admit I’m right.” She doesn’t even look at me. “Right about what?” “That I’m not normal.” I smirk. “Which makes me a lot more interesting than anyone else around here.” Caroline finally straightens, crossing her arms. “You’re still human. Stop acting lik
