Chapter Eight: Perfect Fit

"Is there no way to find him?" I asked Wilson as we continued to sit in silence. "I mean, how has he remained in hiding for the past one hundred years?"

Wilson frowned. "Some say that he no longer lives, and that is why we can't find any signs of him. Others say he resides on an entirely different plain now."

"Another plain? Like a magical realm?" Despite having seen enough, it was still pretty mind-blowing to hear talk of such things.

"That is correct, one that only the holy knights know how to get to." Wilson explained. "Our king's army has been searching for many, many years to find the mage with no luck."

"Does that mean, in the end, there isn't anything else that can be done?" I pushed.

"The king and Prince Elias are doing their utmost to try to find him." Wilson assured me before standing. "I've kept you here long enough with my rambling. I should show you to your quarters."

"Sure," I said, standing.
