The room was a complete mess.

Empty liquor bottles, fruit peels, and cigarette butts were scattered all over the floor.

The luxury sofa and carpet, worth millions, were covered with dirty footprints.

There were even several burn marks left by cigarettes.

The moment I saw the scene before me, my fists tightened instantly.

I had bought this estate specifically as a place to relax and spend my vacations.

Every piece of furniture and every detail of the interior had been carefully chosen. I had spent a great deal of time and effort maintaining it.

I always treated this place with care.

Yet now, these people had destroyed it beyond recognition.

I slowly scanned the room and noticed Bella sitting on the sofa directly facing the entrance.

A crowd of people surrounded her.

"Bella, you're so lucky. You actually found a boyfriend with this much power and influence."

"When you become the future Godmother, don't forget about us old friends."

Bella's lips curled upward proudly as she enjoyed their compliments.

She was about to respond when she looked up and saw me standing at the doorway.

Her smile instantly disappeared.

She stood up, stepped toward me in her high heels, and walked over with an arrogant expression.

Slap!

Without saying a word, she raised her hand and struck me hard across the face.

"You bitch! You actually followed my boyfriend all the way here?"

The sudden slap left me frozen in shock.

Everyone around us widened their eyes.

"Bella, what's going on?"

Bella pointed at me with disgust.

"This is the freeloader I told you about."

"She wasn't satisfied with stealing rides from my boyfriend. Now she's even trying to freeload off his house."

I looked at Bella in disbelief.

"Who told you this was David's house?"

Bella let out a mocking laugh.

"Of course David told me himself."

"You're nothing but a shameless woman who saw that my boyfriend is the Don's son and has been trying every possible way to seduce him."

"You've been using the car rides as an excuse to spend time alone with him, and now you've even followed him here to his estate."

"Let me tell you something. David said that the only reason he kept driving you around was because he was kind and did not want to argue with you."

"Don't mistake his kindness for weakness."

Was this really what David had told her?

No wonder Bella had always treated me with such hostility.

In her mind, David was the only son of the Don, a wealthy heir who drove luxury cars and owned a grand estate.

And I was just some ordinary member of the Family under his command.

That was why Bella believed I had been shamelessly taking advantage of David's wealth every day and trying to steal her boyfriend.

How ridiculous.

Bella turned back toward her friends and raised her voice.

"Do you know how shameless this woman is?"

"She clings to my boyfriend's car every single day. I couldn't get rid of her no matter what I did."

"I even left a note telling her not to get in my boyfriend's car again, but she became furious and reported us to the Family, claiming my boyfriend did not respect one of his own members."

"Because of her, David had to protect his reputation and drive me to work first every morning before turning around to pick her up."

"I've never met someone this shameless in my entire life."

My eyes widened.

Now I finally understood.

No wonder David had been late every morning recently.

He had secretly been driving Bella first and only coming back for me afterward.

David.

You really treated me like a fool.

So don't blame me for what happens next.
